In the Covid Cup?

I know it will never happen, but the FA should consider postponing/cancelling the FA cup for a year, if as seems likely the numbers of Covid-19 cases continues to soar.

It's already a packed footie schedule and something surely has to give (even more so with the Euros at the end of the season.)

it's actually 7-4, last 2 games were Villa 7-2 and Liverpool 2-0, before that they lost 5-0 in the league cup when the real Liverpool were in Brazil playing the World Club cup, they played kids in the league cup at the same time.

That kinda of justification for not backing Liverpool has to be a joke? a fully fit Liverpool 8 times out of 10 will beat Villa, the other draw and loss.

I might be wrong, but was it not Dubai, when Liverpool were asked by UEFA to represent them in the Club World Cup?

And that despite playing the semi-final in another continent, Liverpool were then forced to play the League Cup match against Villa 24 hours later with the entire first team squad unable to play as they were in Dubai?

No surprise then that the youth team that played that night lost 5-0 to Villa. Despite I believe holding their own for the first 30 mins or so..........................

its utter madness , can only assume tv money has the biggest say

just hope it doesnt cost us what could be a very exciting EPL finish , where is the sense of the cup matches its actually every region of the UK travelling around to other regions its insanity

I think football is on borrowed time(probably drag horse racing down with it unfortunately).
Lots of positive cases and too many millionaire footballers having parties ,rubbing everybody's nose in it with photos and some managers and the rulers of the sport doing feck all about it.

I wonder how many of these cases are due to footballers misbehaving. The fact that bellend Kyle Walker has it is no surprise. Grealish acting like a dick during the lockdown's as well.

The Liverpool price has collapsed even further so I now have a £52.76 all round green. Not a great profit, but no risk. just need the game to be played now.

it's not going to be a full strength Liverpool team eiter, can't see the likes of Salah, Mane, Robertson, Alexader Arnold playing.

Can see none of our front 3 starting game, and kelleher in goal. Phillips and Williams Centre backs. Milner and Ox will play. So will Minamono & Origi., and don't know rest

Oh and Shaqiri will defo play

Liverpool will have a decent but far from full strength. I was happy with a no risk all round green, could have won another fiver or so if I kept all the profit on Liverpool for sure souldancer.

Klopp basically treats 3rd rounds as his 2 week winter break, don't expect any first teamers.

Scanda, even if Villa were to be at full strength, I would not want many, if an first teamers starting save for those needing minutes on the pitch or match fitness. This of all seasons its an unneeded distraction, not with standing the potential for further competitive injuries and bookings.

As u indicate, the teams playing Everton (and Shrewsbury or Chelsea) last year are pretty good yard sticks.

Not a hope that Ice Station Zebra would be playable , no home fans so no advantage lost in switching.

Can recall back in the 80's when we were one of the few with undersoil heating putting on a friendly for top flight Stoke City as they hadn't played for ages.

Nobody really cares about the FA cup, players going through the motions - time it was revamped or scrapped. I had a small lay on Pool when they were 1.03 and even after the villa equaliser the profit is minimal but given its this mickey mouse competition the FA cup has become may leave it a bit before trading
