With the way he's approached the Europa Cup so far, I think that is his priority this season
|
By:
he said it himself yesterday, europa is the priority. the money for EFL cup is a disgrace, europa is actually good money. spurs are a money-making business so they have every right to target thursday's game. i expect a largely 2nd string spurs 11 against chelsea
|
By:
Missed that bm, but thanks for the update, which probably makes the 1.74 on Chelsea a steal
|
By:
The scheduling is an absolute disgrace. Playing Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday so early in the season.
|

He said in the presser (these are always on Youtube) that he would like to compete in the Carabao Cup but can't.
The odds say that Europa League is his best chance of a trophy this season and he won that before with worse squads than than this. |

Spurs (3-5-2)
Lloris Dier, Alderweireld, Tanganga Aurier, Gedson, Ndombelle, Sissoko, Reguilon Bergwijn, Lamela odd shape, looks like a 3-5-2, that's actually ok. both wing backs are strong players. Front two is unusual. Midfield solid. Interesting to see Reguilon, think he'll be a real asset Chelsea (4-2-3-1) Mendy Azpilicueta, Zouma, Tomori, Chilwell Jorginho, Kovacic Hudson Odoi, Mount, Werner Giroud well, very solid team, clearly stronger than Spurs. two debutants. Chelsea will control it, Spurs may struggle to create chances with that midfield setup. wing backs have a vital role for Spurs, but no recognised striker will hurt them. |

No Dele Alli; that tells a story
|
By:
Price drifted on Chelsea too. Can't see why
|
By:
I think if you asked Dele if he wants to leave Spurs he'd say no. especially to go abroad. But it's clearly not working for him at Spurs under JM. Spurs won't want to loan him out to another PL club so it would be a loan abroad. another "wasted" English talent?
|
By:
you'd think with the team news chelsea's price would come in again
|
By:
He was losing it before Mourinho came along. Perhaps a change of scenery will do him good. I'd favour a loan deal abroad.
|
By:
it could be the making of him, to get out of his comfort zone
|
By:
Looks like Fernandes, not Gedson bm. Looking forward to seeing him play along with Reguilon. Ndombele has a chance to see if he is worth the tag
|
By:
The spurs line up stronger than I thought it would be
|
By:
Lamela, shown a card!
|
By:
The Spurs team tonite is certainly no great shakes for sure. It seems to me that Chelsea are on the drift as they are a lot weaker too with their 8 changes, while the Spurs team is a bit stronger than envisaged (nothing like the youth teams that Liverpool played against Villa, Everton and Shrewsbury in the cups last season.)
|
By:
yeah, Gedson Fernandes Aspro
|
By:
Chelsea still drifting, totally illogical

and a nice divisive panel on sky tonight - all part of new exciting times (and no I have not mispelt)

I note there are a few on this forum moaning about Spurs having to play a match on Tuesday AND then again on Thursday.
No surprise that some of these were heavy critics of Liverpool when we had TWO fixtures to play in 24 hours in different continents! before being subsequently ordered by the FA to play a cup tie during our assigned two week winter break! Some on here have short memories indeed.................... |

Haven't you noticed pushkin; almost half the threads these days are people moaning about something

very true Aspro. It's good to see footie betting related threads started on the forum in the last few days.

Chelsea almost evens
|
By:
I don't see chelsea as anything special, not odds on shots away from home, anyway.
|
By:
away means nothing now without the crowd influencing refs
|
By:
Big Yawn so far
|
By:
that is true, I still don't think Spurs are as disinterested as Mourinho makes out, though.
|
By:
jose give them a freebie,do what the ff they want
|
By:
Chelsea may well win, but such big favourites away to, in their eyes, their biggest rival is wrong to me.
|
By:
Of course Mourinho wants to win, and the players want to win, but it's a compromised lineup. Spurs are basically saying to Chelsea "try and break us down", play rope a dope, if it's still 0-0 on 70 they bring on Kane, Moura, and go for it.
