They are 2.5 on the exchange now. Haven't been odds on since shortly after the market opened 2 days ago.

Lionel Messi's dad is already in England to discuss a two-year deal with Manchester City after the Argentina forward, 33, said he wants to leave Barcelona. (Sun)

If the deal goes ahead, it could cost City £500m. (Telegraph)

Any club wanting to sign Messi will have to pay about £90m a year to match his wages at Barcelona. (Times - subscription required)

Messi will attend Barcelona training on Monday to avoid legal problems with the club. (Sport - in Spanish)

Manchester United have the money to buy Messi, but Borussia Dortmund and England winger Jadon Sancho, 20, is still their main transfer target. (Express)

Oh right. I don't think he'll leave for free, Barca will dispute that and will want a fee. City will really be taking the píss if they pay big bucks for him. He's a free agent in a year, he could wait til then and make an extra £100m+ for himself in what may be his last big contract or if Barca demand a monster fee. Don't see it happening this Summer.

Great prices on anyone else for the league now.

100m euros + Bernardo Silva, Gabriel Jesus and Eric Garcia say Sport.

Sounds one of those fantasy offers that never materialises though. Surely it's a huge gamble to make an offer like that given you're upsetting those players for a deal that might not even happen. It's also incredibly short term business given the age of those players for a 33 year old.
