I would have went for Italy, but looking at recent stats, Belgium marginally have it. What do you think?

Interesting match up.

I think it should be joint fav match , but Belgium clear favs.

Belgium have good all round strength . What puts me off is their manager , Wilmots , seems like a Hodgson type loser.

If you were picking a team from the 24 nations , for defenders you'd just choose all of Italy's . But up front they have their weakest strikers ever and no midfield creativity.

Could be 0-0, with both sides confident they can take the other two teams in the group. I'm gonna have a max stake on another bet though, balls deep on Over 9.5 seethes from Barney about the lack of goals. Free money

this is a weak Italy side, though Italians are never easy to play against the Belgians despite their stacked squad never seem to fulfil their potential, looks a nailed on draw to me

Belgium: Courtois; Ciman, Alderweireld, Vermaelen, Vertonghen; Witsel, Nainggolan; De Bruyne, Fellaini, Hazard; Lukaku

Italy: Buffon; Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini; Candreva, Parolo, De Rossi, Giaccherini, Darmian; Pellè, Eder

who is it in the belgian squad that has it 'stacked'?

carrasco and de bruyne the only real players theyve got, the rest are over rated donkeys like fellaini, dembele or benteke.

it seems crazy to say this over one player but put kompany in that side and theyll win the tournament, take him out and theyre dire, bit like man city.

that italian side is as negative a team selection as any azzurri manager has picked
and given this is italy i am talking about that is saying something
5 at the back
De Rossi is past it
Candreva had a poor year, out of form
Same goes for Eder
Parolo is about the only player who might score
If the belgiums cant nullify Pelle i will be majorly surprised
El Sharawy, Insigne and Immobile on the bench
What a forward line that could be...

look at the line up first instead of making stupid comments, whether they can play as a team is another matter, probably down to a negative manager and a matter of their own personal ego`s,agree about benteke and fellaini, the rest of them are all class

ive actually got a bet on belgium to win this, so i shouldnt be too negative, either my opinion is wrong but i win or my opinion is right and i lose.  great stuff

time will tell tommo1000 but i feel theyre being over rated because the players have names people in this country recognise.  theyll have to seriously improve from their pre-tournament form to do anything here even with the low standard of opposition we've seen so far.

Keep getting it wrong, so am going to bet on the exact opposite of what I think will happen.  Therefore have backed over 2.5.

Can't see Italy scoring to be honest, Belgium to win to nil could be a decent bet here. My prediction? 2-0 Belgium which is available at a tasty 14.5

A penalty awarded and a player sent off - Belgium v Italy @ 21.00
