Swansea in terrible form, watford not much better on the back of 3 consecutive defeats , sneaking suspicion Watford will turn it around tonight over a poor team. Watford to shade it, in a double with Blackburn

Laying swans here, I'd have them around 2.7

We are in a dodgy run of defeats but bar the Soton game where we were the worst ive seen in 2 seasons , getting beat by Citeh & Spurs was no surprise , if we can raise the game can see us  securing  the needed 3pts

Swansea look shot to pieces, which, is surprising as they have some very good players.Always weary to bet against them but going to take a decent odds punt with Watford. Hope both their strikers are playing.

I think Shelvey is a very good player, will be missed by Swansea and save Toon from relegation. Bargain at £12M. I wonder if he could of done a job at Arsenal or a big team. Maybe his head is a bit of a problem.

Hmmm Shelvey + £12 mill = bargain.

Cashed out a 100/1 shot on colossus with Swans my 3rd game for 2-0.  Any score but that will be fine!

Made a new line with 2-0 & 0-1

I can't work out what's going on at Swansea.  They sack Gary Monk but don't have anyone to take over.  Then they say Curtis is in charge until the end of the season but a few days later appoint this guy Guidolin.  The sale of Shelvey looks another bad move and still no news of any signings.

It's amazing how we all have different opinions, what makes the world go round I suppose.  I think he is vastly over rated , doesn't score enough , dreadful tackler and no pace.  Stealing a living for me

diarssonf, I would be amazed if we didn't
have different opinions, especially between
two sides who don't get heavily involved in
that many goals, 42 games played total goals
98 (49 each) well below average incidently.I
expect 2 or 3 goals tonight.(1-1, 2-1 perhaps)

Why are you expecting 2or 3 then Ken if both teams are low-scoring?

will do a job in the short term for Newcastle but in total agreement with how dlarssonf describes Shelvey's lack of ability...

John, the average for the league
is 2.6 which fits. Ne bet for me
incidently.

I'm working on the basis that we had a 0-1 and a 0-0 in yesterday's PL games, so we must be due some goals tonight.  No science behind my theory but let's hope anyway! Excited

You can watch the sheep shearing in Wales, the odds are wrong an it is Watford that should be around the 2.34 mark

Don't underestimate the value
of playing at home, the reason
why Swans are favourite.
By:

When: 18 Jan 16 19:54
the advantage of playing away against a poor side is large, because if Swansea go behind, the crowd will let the players know that they are very displeased, unless, they are on top and have been caught by a breakaway goal.

i think watford are too big as well. they were unlucky against spurs and city, have done very well against teams in the bottom half and the games they've lost have all been a lot tougher than this on paper. Have a better record away than at home and have have goals in them.

The combination of Neville and Carragher worked well but the pre-match analysis has gone downhill since Neville left.
