Some thoughts on rovers v pne tonight.
We have been a bit gash with derbies under jdt and Preston have a good record here. I think we have genuinely picked up and played well at Norwich  but they were not at their best to say the least.
However rovers play some really classy stuff at times and are always a good watch, but not for the faint hearted.

I don't normally back us but had a few quid the Norwich game so I  might risk a couple more on rovers tonight.But this could go either way and both yes have injuries to key players. Rankin Costello latest a sad miss as he's been brilliant this season. Hopefully our collective nous we see through.

2.06 a bit short for me though and certainly wouldn't be on odds on.

Poor betting weekend for me last week.

Only 1 of the 4 BTTS came in. Poorest BTTS bet results of the season. I should always get at least 2.

Leicester lost, but lookin at their performance I can see why they are top - most of the team are Premier League players - their luck ran out at Boro who are now playing like a top 6 side.

Arsenal won but Luton lost at MU, but not by much.

Dragon, good time in Gambia? Roaming around the countryside, river cruising or just sitting around on the beach all day drinking cold beers getting ready for a return to betting

Gambia was amazing and we did a lot of travelling around to experience the real Gambia.

Such a poor country with no free education and loads and loads of people with very little.

People were lovely but it was a very reflective experience comparing their lives of very little to our lives in the west.

Very humbling experience.

It was also very warm but has given me a taste for further visits to Africa.

Switching sports... Grand Slam of Darts is reaching its conclusion this weekend and I've been impressed with both the performance and attitude of Rob Cross... seems a different animal to the man of earlier years, playing with a bit more aggression, had a bit of a spat with MvG after their group game earlier in the tourney, plays Damon Heta tonight for a place in the semi final... after Cross' victory against Nathan Aspinall had a look for a price on Cross to win the Worlds and was pleased to see 33/1 avaiable, had some of that... others thinking the same and 25/1 now best which is still reasonable imo... having said all that I do think Luke Humphries will take a lot of beating (was 7/1 a week ago, now 11/2) but not for me at the price, cheers...

I am on Chesterfield but also geared up with a mix of Eastleigh, Bromley, Maidenhead ( Wot? ), Hartlepool ? Are you mad! ) also backed both those long shots on DNB as both home teams look shot to buggery. Also thrown Orient into a mix but most low stakes.

I backed the team against Fylde at least twice and been crushed! I will take the tip offered by hoy hoping for retribution!

Nice and comfortable win 0-2 by Chesterfield last night

BOLTON at 3/5 are the systems highest rated team this weekend and I have backed them accordingly.

These teams are going in separate directions with Bolton having won 7 out of 8 and Exeter has lost 7 out of 8.

Exeter have also lost their last 4 away games conceding 12 goals in the process and scoring only 1 all to teams lower that Bolton (apart from Oxford). Exeter have not beaten a team above 111 th all season and Bolton currently are in 3rd Place 1 point off top.

The home win looks a solid bet.

Other teams on the system are Mansfield 23/20 and Stockport 8/13. These are my three main bets of the weekend in singles and muti bets.

I have also added Accrington at 11/4 who look good value and Soton at 7/10

I’ve had a bet on the EFL Trophy outright market, Reading @ 16/1… won all three of their group games with a goal difference of +19 and the competition appears to be a welcome relief to the clubs’ off the field issues… I assume that the team playing in the Trophy isn’t much different to the kids playing in League One week in week out whereas other teams use players with lesser experience… who knows, time will tell and Charlton up next at the Madjeski, cheers…

he FA cup fixture between Blackpool and Forest Green Rovers has been postponed after the FA launched a last-minute investigation against Forest Green.

The second round tie was meant to be played at 3pm tomorrow but has not been delayed.

Blackpool have put out a statement on their website to confirm that the game has been called off along with an apology for their fans.

I followed the Dragon's advice on Blackburn - I too was surprised with a 3-1 defeat for Blackburn who look to be challenging for the play offs positions - thats the Championship for you.

Boro had at least 8 of the first 11 missing @ Leeds which was my logic for going for Leeds plus Leeds had won 6 on the spin at home.

BetFred treble was actually a special offered by the Bald one - the odds he offered were better than the Exchange odds on the individual outcomes.

BTTS - treble let down by Man U not scoring @ Newcastle.

Overall a reasonably profitable weekend.
