Spain looked flat till extra time and did not look jaded as was suggested on the inrunning commentary during 90 mins. Betting on this game really comes down to team selection Del Bosque goes with. If Pedro and more importantly Torres play confidence can only be at a minimum while if both are on bench where they belong I will strongly be fancying Spain. It was no coincidence to me that as soon as Torres got taken off around the beginning of extra time Spain looked at different side.

Mine too should have been on 8pm for european audience, grr.

Brazil haven't lost at home in 50 years or something crazy have they? That said you'd still fancy Spain.

The Brazil stat i think is 1 competitive home defeat since 1960.

I think that's not as impressive as it sounds if you look into it though.....

A competitive home game for Brazil means a WC Qualifier or a home match in the Copa America . Since 1960 they've missed several qualifying campaigns due to being holders or hosts , and in several of those they did play Argentina were absent for the same reasons . Argentina are usually very strong but most of the rest of the teams they play against, are, (most of the time) , 2nd rate at best .Then the Copa America they have probably only played about 8 home games in all that time.

Think Spain will really be keen to show who's top dog here.
Wouldn't be surprised if they blew Brazil away by 2 or 3.

Am I the only one expecting goals here?

I know both teams haven't conceded many since the tournament started but I think that could change tonight. Nigeria and Italy created some good chances against Spain but couldn't finish and I don't see brazil having that problem. We all know Brazil are a team who are great going forward and even though improving at the back still have plenty to do, Spain have the quality to score against anyone.

I'm backing 3-3 @85's on here and hoping for a goal fest so I can trade. Might end up looking silly but it's all about opinions.

Good luck.

Will be taking 1-1 2-2 and 3-3 too, looking to trade out of 1-1, Im not going to take 0-0, as I usually would, as Brazil seem to start every game at full tilt. Havent been impressed with Brazil at all, its a very workman like team, by Brazilian standards, if theres no Neymar im kind of lost to who can cause any excitement.

spain may be disadvantaged by the italy game and brazil have an edge here, however if Spain up there game they should beat an average brazil. I would suggest a 2 0 and 2 1 win for Spain.

Really like spain for this, I was hoping to see 2.5ish so 2.8 is very tempting, in the Italy game I think they were stifled for long periods because (all credit to Italy) although Italy did attack, they did so without it being to the detriment of their defence and were still able to really close out any space for Spain, perhaps that's why they were out on their feet in ET and Spain came on strong as the spaces started to open up.

When Brazil attack tonight I don't think that they will be able to close down the defensive side of things as well as Italy did, leaving big gaps for Spain in the process.

The bookies confirm this will be a low scoring affair. No goal in the first half.

0-0 Half Time
1-0 to either team
