i can get into markets now but everything is suspended. Even something that wasn't suspended wouldn't let me place a bet due to 'connection problems'
The people running the site side of the business are clueless.How they could let the beta site out and then keep it up when it is obvious that it is crap.Shows them to be not only very poor at their job but arrogant.
as a public company, there has to be consequences. no wonder the share price has nose dived spectacularly since flotation. the institutional shareholders should seek the immediate resignation of all the board of directors in an effort to salvage some of their investment. what a bunch of incompetent idiots.

what they should do is revert every bet that was associated with every event that was live when it went down, that way, everyone would be back where they started about 3 hours ago

So on a suspsended market, with all in play bets cancelled, how has £70 appeared on 0-0 to 0-3?

you get that on every game on the 'impossible' scorelines don't you? The bot puts up cash at 1000 all the time

The only solution to this is that everybody is given a £100 free bet as it will be so difficult to prove what this has cost traders. Betfair should pay for this disgraceful loss of service. They say they are a technology company but for this to happen on the first weekend of the football season is beyond comprehension. I cant wait to see what Calvin has to say about this.

Yes odds is back and I have greened out, but trading on betfair is defenitely over from my computer. For the rest of the day and perhaps the rest of the month I will investigate alternative more reliable services. Somebody mentioned som irish? I feel sorry for the poor ones loosing their money on this event.

I backed a horse today then set my lay odds for in running. The horse won

Yeah Burton, the service went down from around 3.35 or so. It must have been down for over an hour. Presumably the service was down when the race went in-play, so your lay wasn't matched. Nice spot of luck!

what a shambles. robbed me of my money today, advertised in play and then they shut the site down absolutely shocking. Customer Service say nothing they can do, in the Terms and Conditions: thats how much Betfair value us
turned my unmatched bet at 7/1 on mcoys to a sp bet so i couldnt cancel and got 2.95
The terms and conditions are a complete joke.
If an outage is the fault of Betfair,any customer who finds themselves financially worse off should be reimbursed.
I sold a property a year or so ago,my solicitor couldn't complete on the correct day as The Nat West banks systems had crashed. I don't bank with the The Nat West,but I complained to them.
I got a cheque in the post for £100 for my troubles.
