THEY GET TO BE LAUGHED AT FOREVER FROM THE REST OF SCOTLAND

Yes they keep all their history. The club is still the same, it was the company that owned the club that was liquidated. The club/stadium/assets were transfered to the new company. All is intact.
Still the worlds most successful club, holding the world record amount of trophies, and league titles. |
By:
If they keep their history then they surely get to keep the tax bill and the liabilities they owe the police, ambulance, Hearts, the magician etc
Amazing most of them STILL don't get it. Enjoy Peterhead - Balmoor is lovely this time of year. |
By:
you koks still slaberin on about the rangers .
season startsin two weeks ,any of you koks bought a season ticket yet ? "your only hear to see the rangers " |

Rangers are dead
Charles Green picked the flesh from your rotting carcass & created Sevco 5088 after being refused the transfer of Rangers SPL share Sevco 5088 made an application to join the SFL it was accepted by the majority of member clubs they will start next season in the SFL 3rd division Sevco 5088 have no history |
By:
They also have no players.
|
By:
and no respect

D2 is a fisherman, or a moron. Either way you cant reason with people like him.
For the record, were Pacific Shelf 595 Limited allowed to keep their history? |
By:
Some of their history you wouldn't want to keep, a hundred years of sectarian signing policy would be the obvious one.
It's up to their support now to resurrect them, do they have the desire for the fight? if they can pull 40,000 to Ibrox for the East Stirling game, we will know the answer. It's an exciting time for Division 3, I'm sure the tempo in pre season will be up a few notches across the country and all the players in the league will be looking forward to it. |
By:
Newco won't even be bothering to play in Div 3, will they? Not if they have read all the stories of armageddon written by their friends in the Orange/Murdoch press.
|

Rumours going around that Glasgow's top two clubs might be invited to a glamour Euro-tournament...Neither Celtic or Partick Thistle were available for comment yesterday.

I don't think the obvious financial issues, which will be massive in the SPL, will be of any concern to SFL clubs. In many ways I think certain SFL clubs hope that the SPL also rans suffer and have to reduce their wage bills dramatically. That will be the real result for clubs like Raith, not sporting integrity. |

Its YOU that doesn't get it .... the business/company that owned the economic benefit of the assets went bust...the assets NEVER dissappeared themselves , part of the assets was a football club ....which is still a football club . When you liquidated a company the liabilities of that company goes away ...it's not rocket science , you just can't "make up" of the club isn't entitled to hold it's history because of the company dealings |

I think this explains it quite well.

Its you who doesn't get it. Newco have no history, completely new and very lucky to get into the 3rd division without 3 years trading books. The club who used to be Rangers do have history, but they are now defunct, busto, deceased. You can't dodge all your debts and have it both ways. |

when 29 out of 30 members voted to be allowed into a division - that isn't very lucky . Although 1 or 2 did raised concerns on who they where voting for - which I agree with.
It's not a question of dodging debts - the company went and so did their debts - the liquidator job was to sell the saleable assets of which 1 of them being a football club - so the football club ( or asset ) has a new owner ...it's simple really |

The liquidator sold the assets of the old club
The assets were a football ground,a training ground and a car park. They did NOT sell a football club. |

"Do they keep their history".
One way to answer that is do they keep their silverware, is that 1. Kept. 2. Auctioned off. 3. Nobody thought to check and is appearing in installments at car boots. |
By:
It a bit like a company owning a horse that wins many races , the company goes wrong , gets lquidated , the liquidator sells the assets - one of which is a horse - the horse has a new owner and people then saying the horse has no history ......it's so basic here lads
|
By:
When do we start hearing about arrests and trials?

scotbet if i was speaking to you face to face i would speak very slowly and clearly.
So just try reading it very S L O W L Y over and over again and i am sure you will eventually get it. |

Rory B. Bellows and Scotbet - if the horse is in line at the glue factory, you cannot put its saddle on another horse & claim it is the same horse!

Insolvency would mean the club go out of existence. Our league registration would go.
WMC1972 (FollowFollow October 2011) we have a duty as a supprort to let Mr.Whyte know we will not stand by and let it happen. We will stand loyally with him and pay financially and emotionally through the difficulties of administration, but liquidation or pre-pack cannot be the solution. Gregybear (FollowFollow October 2011) Don't be fooled by the name, this is liquidation. The Rangers would be no more, and this is when as was stated last night you would see a phoenix club with no history called Rangers 2012 or similar come about. McQueens11 (FollowFollow October 2011) However as a support I'm sure we can handle that if there is a chance to emerge from this stronger AND with our history intact. A Rangers is not acceptable. It has to be The Rangers. Blackwithredtops (FollowFollow October 2011) Rangers Football Club would cease to exist. We would never be able to add to our proud honours list. Anything won by Rangers 2012, Rangers United or Glasgow Rangers would be honours won by a new club. The heart would be ripped out of our club. Fermanaghblue (FollowFollow October 2011) Rangers as it stands at the moment is in real danger of being defunct and the name of Rangers Football Club being consigned to the history books, similar to Third Lanark. Whether a new company is set up using the pre-pack avenue the club as it stands at the moment would be no more. Moodie Blue (FollowFollow October 2011) The 'shell' that is left behind would be Rangers with league membership and a points deduction. The phoenix company could not simply take it's place in the premier league without the pre-agreement of the governing bodies and all the clubs. Spiritof93 (FollowFollow October 2011) How anyone could think that waving goodbye to 140 years of history is even an option worth discussing is beyond me" Morgzy Bear (Rangers Media) It would never be the same supporting a new club. The Rangers will never die WATP" BigBossMan (Rangers Media) "We must avoid liquidation at all costs. No matter what way people twist it - it will not be the same rangers. No history - no Rangers beattie72 - (Rangers Media) "Obviously, we've been backing the Blue Knights, so we're not exactly impartial," admitted Mark Dingwall of the Rangers Supporters Trust. "But people are extremely wary of [Miller's] newco, because they see that as essentially the same as a liquidation". From Rangers Media, March 2012 Gillete - "Who In their right mind would throw money in when the tax case isn't resolved When or if we cut a deal with HMRC Or there is an outcome either way and we know the final bill Then the money men will come to the table Even a village idiot knows that" |
