Alan Curbishley favourite across the board.

Interesting others:

- Steve Bruce best priced 8/1 with William Hill
- Rafa Benitez at 14/1 with Victor but only 7/1 with William Hill?
- Alan Shearer at 14/1?

Manager markets can be fascinating when they change a lot!

You have to love a Manager's market when there's no clear favourite. Bookies all over the shop.

Quick question, do betfair decide themselves who they list as possibles or do they only put people up if a punter requests them. Reason i ask is some of the names listed are laughable. David O Leary, Diego Maradona, Graeme Souness, Bobby Gould and Andy Gray Laugh

Biscuit - it's a mix of both. There's pretty much a 'stock' list (you know the names) and then we add in requested others (if they make sense). Gray and Gould amused me Laugh

And if you asked any of the Wolves board who Herve Renard was, i bet most wouldn't have a clue.

Fair play then. I actually thought Bobby Gould was dead so i've learnt something today anyway Laugh

I asked for Herve Renard to be added to the market. He has previously managed a distinctly average team in England so should cope.

Curbishley seems like the obvious candidate here.  He's admitted to wanting back in the Premier League and he can't afford to wait too much longer.  This is a perfect spot to up his status by helping Wolves avoid the drop.  Chairman seems open to the idea of Curbishley and Curbishley has tossed his hat in.  5's look good.

Yep, he's understandably the favourite here.

Only issue would be how much confidence you can place in a man that has been out of it for so long, and Wolves don't have the time to 'let him get back into his stride', so to speak.

Interesting one.

True but he's been doing work for Setanta hasn't he?  So at least been following the league closely, albeit from the "outside".

Whatever happens I'm pretty confident Curbishley will be going all out to get this job.  Enough for me considering the other options don't seem a lot better or don't make sense.

It would never be Ian Holloway. They would never understand his accent in the Black Country and vice versa. My money goes on Steve Bruce.

Solskjaer a coach... and a coach dont neccesarily require big money ? they are premiership and if he seriously wanted to take over man u afta fergie then maybe a job in the premier league is a good move, alex would give him any help he needed and he is young ambitious and has a decent reputation, depends i guess on which way the Wolves board are looking at things ie. going for an older guy like curbs who has had success but has been out the game a while? interesting one tho...

Not sure Wolves will want to risk their immediate future by hiring a younger manager.  Lets face it if Wolves fall to the Championship they can't expect to get right back up.

Would they take a gamble - which is what a Manager without PL experience is - when they are facing such an urgent need for points?

Questionable imo.
