Attempting to find obvious howlers I was going through the early closing events for the babies , The Alpha Centauri list looks like it has the cream of the crop . I will try and keep this list up to date as  there will need to be corrections .

Now , the figure for the Kildare House won by Lake Victoria might have to be reduced . The runner up that day put up exactly the same figure when winning at The Curragh as she did behind Victoria Lake and that should not happen . But Babouche , from the same yard as Red Letter , only improved 3lb from her debut when winning the very next race . Curious is it not ? A scribe from the Sporting Life mentioned that Ger Lyon trained maiden winners don't come forward . Perhaps he was correct . We should get more evidence tomorrow at Leopardstown .

The top filly looks a little high but don't forget that she was only getting 4lb from Arabie when he ran her over in a Group 3 . Probably needs cut and that applies to Dare To Dream at The Curragh .

One has to be careful with RI . Run off at the wrong time and you can get odd results . Yesterday the July Cup had the dateline " Saturday 30th December 1899 " hahaha . They call it progress .

The result gives me a three horse key that unlocks the race . City Of Troy ran 1lb better than the figure I have for The Derby therefore still 4lb short of his Dewhurst rating .
The horse to take from the race is Ghostwriter . The relatively slow pace in the early stages helped him and I hope the horse is given another chance at a mile .
The Eagle eyed will see that there is a slight discrepancy in the figures . That , I believe , is due to RI using a different wfa scale .

The Sandringham tomorrow . It might pay to take a chance with the Balding filly . Her last run caught the attention of the stewards . Before that she flopped in the Nell Gwyn on her seasonal debut .
In her last run as a baby she was struck into and had no chance with Dance Sequence . But at Doncaster she ran well against Dancing Gemini and had War Rooms , Battle Cry and Ice Max behind her . Tomorrow she runs off of 92 which would re-present Dancing Gemini on 101 . That horse is o/r 113 now . The selection goes on any ground but is a big price because it is her first run at a mile .
She is worth a flutter e/w , GUSHING GOLD .

A filly to keep an eye on is Queen Of Mougins . Her debut run was that of a very useful type but since then she seems to have lost her way . But , her latest run looked far better . She might need soft ground . One to follow .
