I read the situation that alot of the players don't like Gerwyn behind the scenes. He keeps himself to himself and doesn't hang around after playing or mingle with the other players etc. Gurney was getting more and more wound up during that match for whatever reason. Not sure exactly why, but after he hit the D16 he can't be celebrating like that behind Gerwyn's back. If Gerwyn had happened to turn around as he was doing it, it would have been an actual fight
