NTRIES for 2019 PDC UK Qualifying School are now confirmed, with 397 players - including Lakeside Champion Glen Durrant - set to compete for PDC Tour Cards in Wigan from January 17-20.
A total of 19 PDC Tour Cards will be on offer at the Robin Park Tennis Centre, with the final two players on each of the four days winning an automatic PDC Tour Card.
In addition, players will earn ranking points per victory in each full round of the event (which does not include Byes), which will be used to form the UK Q School Order of Merit, from which the top 11 players will win Tour Cards.
Three-time World Champion John Part is among the players to have entered UK Qualifying School, along with televised title winner Kevin Painter and former PDC World Championship finalists Andy Hamilton and Kirk Shepherd.
Former PDC televised finalists Wes Newton, Colin Osborne, Barrie Bates, Richie Burnett and Mark Walsh will also be competing, along with 2018/19 World Championship participants Aden Kirk and Stephen Burton.
A number of other experienced PDC stars will attempt to return to the PDC circuit, including former ranking event winners Jamie Caven, Andy Jenkins and Joe Murnan and former UK Open semi-finalists David Pallett and Andrew Gilding.
Three-time Lakeside Champion Glen Durrant heads the list of BDO players taking part, alongside two-time champion Scott Waites and they are joined by 2018 Grand Slam of Darts participants Mark McGeeney and Jim Williams.
Lisa Ashton and Anastasia Dobromyslova, former Lakeside Women’s Champions who also competed in the PDC World Championship last month, headline a list of female entrants which also includes three-time UK Open qualifier Deta Hedman and recent Lakeside runner-up Lorraine Winstanley.
International hopefuls in action in Wigan include four players who starred in the 2018/19 World Championship; Brazil's Diogo Portela, Hong Kong's Royden Lam, India's Nitin Kumar and American Chuck Puleo.

Can see Duzza making it, but think Scotty Too Hotty might have missed the boat now.
Wes 'Warrior' Newton and Andy 'Hammer' Hamilton switching back. Very surprised if either make it along with all the ladies.

Full list on pdc website. Hope Richie 'Pot Noodle' Burnett makes it.

Jamie Hughes and Harry Ward pick up the first 2 tour cards yesterday, which saw BDO champion Duzza exiting before the last 64.
John Part was ko'd by Lorraine Winstanley :-)
Report HGS January 18, 2019 6:22 PM GMT
Former BDO number 1 Mark McGeeney and Scott Baker also from the BDO secured their tour cards today. BDO Jim Williams looking good so far to pick one up also. Alas, Duzza exited before the last 64 again!
Report wisewords January 19, 2019 9:47 AM GMT
Duzza making life very difficult for himself!
Report HGS January 19, 2019 7:12 PM GMT
Super Matt Clark and Reece Robinson earned tour cards today. A better day for Duzza who fell 1 round short making the semi finals, though special mention should go to Lisa Ashton who made the last 16 with the days highest average of 106.
The final 2 automatic places will be contested for tomorrow with the top 11 of the rest also winning a card. A similar performance from Durrant would suffice.

Final qualifier today and Duzza has made it to the last 32 along with Lisa Ashton and Anastatsia. Other familiar names at this stage are Kevin Painter, Andy Jenkins, Kirk Shepherd & Colin Osborne.
Report HGS January 20, 2019 3:11 PM GMT
Duzza into last 16 along with Lisa Ashton, Painter and Shepherd. Geezer called Nathan Rafferty averaged 108 in last 32 so one to lookout for.
Report HGS January 20, 2019 3:33 PM GMT
Kirk Shepherd beats Duzza 5-3. Will have to see if Duzza has done enough.
Report HGS January 20, 2019 3:36 PM GMT
Painter also through. Rafferty knocks out Lisa Ashton.

painters on fire
Report HGS January 20, 2019 4:18 PM GMT
Painter and Shepherd through to last 4. Duzza will want one of them to win it. He may still be ok though??
Report HGS January 20, 2019 4:28 PM GMT
Painter and Shepherd meet in the semis. One of them will get an automatic card, the other will qualify in top 11.

i expect plenty of snarling Angry
Report HGS January 20, 2019 4:58 PM GMT
Kirk Shepherd beats Kevin Painter and Nathan Derry beats Joe Murnan. Shepherd and Derry get automatic spots. Pretty sure Painter and Murnan will fill 2 of the remaining 11 places, so yes, plenty of snarling to come. Full list to follow.

good man,hope durrant made it
Report HGS January 20, 2019 5:52 PM GMT
Full list to follow, but I can confirm Durrant has made it. Well done Duzza. Should hold his own in the PDC imo.
Report HGS January 20, 2019 6:21 PM GMT
No snarling. Apologies but Kevin Painter did not make it even though he had as many points as the bottom qualifiers. Not sure how they worked that out. Probably first come first served on the same points if that makes sense. Anyways the other 11 to win tour cards are in order of merit;

Jonathan Worsley, Carl Wilkinson, Glen Durrant, Gavin Carlin, Joe Murnan, Adrian Gray, Andy Boulton, Jamie Bain, David Pallett, Conan Whitehead & Barrie Bates.

First players championship event is on Feb 9th.

One last post. Don't think Scotty Waites took part after all. Probably for the best.
Report a bitofinterest January 21, 2019 12:16 AM GMT
think waites gave up,good riddance

painter must be gutted, shepherd had already qualified,he could have let the snarler win Angry

Hasn't taken Duzza long to settle in. After reaching a final last week, he secured his maiden PDC tour victory when winning players championship 4 on Sunday. Fair play.
Report HGS May 19, 2019 11:14 AM BST
Duzza doubles up winning players championship 15, beating mvg 7-2 in the semi along the way. More than holding his own.

Duzza is PDC #1 in waiting?!
