His average isn't even that high, and the format hasn't even got long yet.

MvG is still in miss doubles in clumps mode which = not winning the title as that's what has cost him all year.

They don't really want upsets, and the likes of Barney losing as like Barney vs Lewis is much, much better for them than Lewis vs Labananauskas. Same as what's happened in the 4th quarter. They want MvG vs Anderson SF to happen not one to lose.

Yer but there's nothing really suspicious going on, and manipulating match outcomes en masse for excitement like that would be impossible too. You're gonna what tell Anderson to go to a deciding set and then say Wattimena will go in the lead and lose, just not gonna happen, too complex, and players would just never be on board with it.

Barry Hearn just says you want whatever has happened. If there's upsets, that's what you want, if it's the top guard that's what you want, he's a salesman, he will sell whatever he has to sell.
In reality there's no way they want the top names out, the top names draw the viewers, the sponsors and ultimately the money.
