Jeffrey de Zwaan 1.05 - 21 Nitin Kumar
Martin Schindler 1.66 - 2.5 Cody Harris
Jan Dekker 1.33 - 4 Lisa Ashton
Rob Cross - Jeffrey de Zwaan/Nitin Kumar

Have backed De Zwaan heavily to beat Cross @ the 5/2 that's going around. Plan is to trade quite a bit of it out though, I just don't think de Zwaan goes off here @ 3.5 or higher, if he does that's a very big price to beat an out of form Cross.

n88uk, sure but at least the qualifiers are Country champions even if they are pretty obscure, if it spreads the reach of darts then it's a price to pay. It's not that i'm against Women playing it, if they are good enough, but honestly they are no better than an a good county player. They have a competition they can play, i don't get why they get two bites of the cherry.
Report n88uk December 13, 2018 10:45 PM GMT
You think women's qualifiers aren't also spreading reach of darts? There will be much qualifers than Ashton, there's already been at least 1 on stage tonight.

But you aren't denying someone on the tour, the qualification system was known before the year started. You could say that for like every qualifier, yet people don't and single out the women's qualifiers.

Darts should move to a 1 year system and move away from prize money rankings where it's way too influenced by the world championships. It's ridic you can have a year like de Zwaan and be ranked 44 still. Though from what Barry Hearn said last week on snooker coverage he won't be changing it. But it makes it so much harder for younger players to break in than it should be.

Well if they want to break in then they need to do better at the Worlds! Rob Cross did it

Report n88uk December 13, 2018 11:58 PM GMT
Yer but Cross is the very top. Look at the likes of de Zwaan and van den Bergh, how long it takes them to break in. You basically have to play 2 years on the circuit or best part of that or very hard to break in.
