PAUL LIM

No matter how quiet the forum is these days, this deserves all the plaudits and accolades going.

A player known and respected throughout the world of darts for being the first player to
hit a 9 dart finish live on tv way back in 1990. The feat was achieved on the famous Lakeside
stage in an era where dartboards had thick wires, reducing the doubles and trebles target area.

To nearly achieve it 27 years later aged 63, on the ally pally stage, playing against 2 times world champion
Gary Anderson would have been one of the greatest and remarkable sporting achievements ever!

Remember having to read about the 1990 9-darter in the morning paper (either it hadn't been on the TV, or I missed it that evening - unlikely Excited), but I was at school at the time.  Seems like a lifetime ago considering how old I am now!
