Great read and look forward to seeing more as the tournament progresses. I agree that's very hard to see past MVG. 4/5-8/11 is very fair.
Not convinced with your Wade prediction to ko Taylor but maybe that's partly because he's the player i loathe. However, i believe i'm right in saying that Wade has never achieved a 100 average in the World Championships. I think an early Ko for Wade is entirely possible but even if he makes it through to Taylor I just don't see him scoring heavily enough. |

Thanks.
I'm finding it really hard to see past MvG to, I kinda hope he doesn't win though. I remember when he lost early 2 years (?) ago it made for one of the most exciting worlds, when MvG is lurking he's so good that it can tend to make it a bit of an inevitability. Mid-year he went through that mini blip after his wife had a baby, but he's got back in form in time for the worlds and it's really hard to see him losing really. |

well done DnB for trying to kickstart something here. We all fondly recall the days of the 'Hibee Previews' and how the SEETHERS SNARLED at his astute 'No Bet' recommendations. He saved people fortunes.

I think that half the free world were on Osborne in 2007 at around 6/4 when he knocked out Painter in Round 1 after reading Hibee's preview.

I can see a key clash in the 3rd Round between Cross & Gurney. Current odds would suggest Cross is a favourite for that clash but I think it could be quite close. I think the winner is destined for a semi with MVG.

Great write up D&B; thanks :)
FWIW I fancy: Steve Beaton v William O'Connor - Highest Checkout Score Over (121.5) - should be a close encounter and both players tend to perform in fits and starts but are very capable of good arrers. With a minimum of 16 legs I fancy the H/Co to cop. 21/20 James Wilson v 10/11 Krzysztof Ratajski - Over (6.5) 180's @ 8/11- This should be a real tight game. Wilson scores very heavily and gets a lot of 180's mixed in with muck and rancid finishing. Ratajski is a very good player, and although not a big 180 hitter should grab a couple. 1/50 Michael van Gerwen v 33/1 Christian Grey - Michael van Gerwen to win 3 - 1 @ 7/2 - Kist is not what he once was but shows his quality fleetingly enough to warrant interest in nicking a set off V Gerwen - who has lost at least one set 3 times in the last 6 years and against inferior opponents to Kist. 2/5 Gerwyn Price v 9/4 Ted Evetts - Over (120.5) @ 10/11 and T Evetts to win 3-2 @ 11/2 - in what should be another close encounter Evetts is capable of upsetting Price; who can wobble at the finish line. If he does sneak by it's likely to be 3-2 and at the odds will take 11/2 on the scoreline as opposed to the 9/4 on the match. Price often gets a big finish (including 170's) and again anticipating plenty of legs can see the high c/o cop. Gl all and let's play darts!! |

See if you can fix me and Mr Ed up with those two lasses as well?
|
By:
Hands off, Daniella is mine!
|
By:
ill try my best
|
By:
I'm afraid Mr Ed would be leaving for his deluxe hotel with BOTH that pair once he'd shown them a jiggle of his pink y-fronts. I'd be left fighting over the remnants of the buffet with Lloyd. And coming off second best there as well I suspect.

I backed Kist just to win the match.obviously I don't expect to collect!

Great write up DnB. Well done on the Wilson 180's.
Hope this forum can keep up some good darting chat and betting tips throughout. My own contribution is a shout for one of tomorrow's matches. Dimitri vd Bergh to k.o Family Guy Bunting. Former won the world youth champ and is a solid nerveless thrower. Bunting this year has been consistently below the standard that got him into the Premier League. I'm on at about 2.26. |

Danno, it's all part of the christmas fare. Though time consuming.
HH is etched in forum folklore and regarded as the master of the darts write up preview. A shame he's put his quill away as the modern day hashtag of #NoBet needs airing. Cheers! |
