Everybody laughed when it was suggested a match between the top ten players of each organisation would be a close run thing. The PDC would win hands down the majority proclaimed. Oh yeah ?

RVB v P Taylor
Ted Hankey v C Lloyd
Andy Fordham v A Lewis
Mervyn King v R Scholten
Gary Anderson v M Dudbridge
Jelle Klassen v K Painter
MVG v J Wade
Martin Adams v D Priestley
Simon Whitlock v J Part
M Webster v P Manley

Not so flipping sure now,

A fickle lot on here.

Would've been a clean sweep for the bdo lads back then and more so now Laugh

There's no doubting the depth of BDO was better for a long time. Was the best player playing in the PDC that kept up its image of being the best. The BDO didn't really go to pot until what 7/10 of that list left in the next few years.

Having said that you can argue the PDC would win here anyway the way you have laid it out. MvG vs Wade might look an obvious MvG win now, but it wasn't in 2007. Wade would have ground him down over any meaningful distance.
