where will they go when bob potter kicks the bucket and his family/heirs bulldoze the throwback to the 70`s palace, can`t see them persevering with the annual crapfest, not when lake**** is sitting in 25 acres of prime, leafy stockbroker belt countryside, flattened, the land could be worth millions, bet his wife and children have already hired the demolition team, the old **** must be well in his eighties
Wherever the next home of bdo darts is, the snooty south will demand it stays in those parts. The circus tavern was the home of pdc world champs for 14 years. Albeit a horrible smoke filled smutty place for darts.
Lakeside capacity 1,170 Ally Pally (venue akin to a giant warehouse/airport hanger) capacity 2,500/3,000 Circus tavern capacity 800
At Lakeside you get to hear Little Richard the mc, (not the rock n roll legend) with endless calls of "hi ho" and titter you not nonsense in between matches and the usual floor fillers blaring out - "rocking all over the world" and "living on a prayer" on a kind of repeat mode throughout each session as the best the bdo can offer stagger about bladdered out of their skulls.
The Trip Advisor review/complaint is also worth a read and perhaps sums up the reality of said venue and complex. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g1420503-d627399-r23472568-Lakeside_International_Hotel-Frimley_Green_Surrey_England.html
I'm looking forward to hearing "hungry like the wolf" at full howling volume.
