yeah, it's pretty embarrassing. but tbh, with the title situation they're all looking for easy fights and easy routes to a world title

Just watched the Oasis movie "Supersonic" that leads up to Knebworth in 1996 (I was there) what a fantastic doc, and shows what a pile of crap music scene is out their now for the young generation...Cowell won!

43, but I went to tons of gigs in the 90s saw them all, Blur, Oasis, Prodigy, Charlatans, Pulp, Shed Seven, Inspiral Carpets, The Verve, Stone Roses and many more...why would I go watch Coldplay, Keane or new stuff like Blossoms?

Blur at a small gig in Leeds the week before Parklife came out in 1994 was the very best, just a stunning live band back then...

yeah fair enough. but you do sound quite a bitter person in general. why can't you just enjoy the music of your time and leave current music alone?

Because im angry that Cowell/reality tv and the celebrity internet generation have practically killed off guitar music..Noel mentions that in the doc.

Blur are still awesome but your probs making ref to Country House and the poppy stuff, I loved their punky side like Song 2, Bugman, Chinese Bombs etc where Coxon went mad...

Popscene was the very top, 1992 2 years before Oasis even got going, brilliant video (same set used on Song 2, 5 years later) and crazy song, too loud for radio but always a fan favourite.

That is just awesome and from 1992!

Yeah small warm up gig for Hyde park, last saw them in 2009 at Newcastle, superb as usual, Albarn diving into crowd 3 times...just cause he can lol.

...and him and Noel are best mates now.

Oasis did one style and were excellent at it..I was at Knebworth but not as good as Blur live, Damon Albarn always mental on stage, Oasis barely took note of the crowd...
