For me he should be about 1.07,  Norris is poor, i'd be surprised if he wins more than a few legs,

I've put £300 on Klassen, anyone else lumped on?

no liam, anderson is a better 1.4 shot
Report bobby 1 December 31, 2015 8:37 PM GMT
klassen will give norris chances in the game, whereas wade is no way as good as the prices suggest.

klassen will probably win, but in my opinion anderson is overpriced at 1.44 (he should be the 1.07 shot)

thanks bob

i'll be lumping on both
Report charwell. December 31, 2015 10:00 PM GMT
Norris is continually under rated. He is a recent BDO world finalist and has secured a top 32 spot in the PDC on his 1st year on tour, which is very difficult to do.

Both players run hot and cold and although Klassen is a worthy favourite 1.4 seems about right.
Report liam1982 December 31, 2015 10:12 PM GMT
fair enough cahrwell- i ve watched every game so far and i thought norris has done okay but i dont see him having anything at all to trouble klassen, i thought if hed played anyone decent apart from webster in the last round he'd have been out, klassen to me has been impressive though, he looks good enough to win it imho

also i fancy smith to beat van gerwen, hes a decent price too
Report VIINUL January 1, 2016 2:09 AM GMT
I dinnae fancy MVG to beat anyone after the last round TBH but I will take yer bet mate.......
Report bjsparks January 1, 2016 2:21 AM GMT
charwells talking sense, klassen can run hot and very cold, id like my bigger bets to go with consistent solidarity in my players. I backed the correct score in the double odds offer in taylor vs klassen but wouldn't do him in a single at present at those odds. personally think wrights best odds tomorrow. also if u fancy klassen to win a easy as u say the 5-0 is great value.. (they've actually halfed the sports book odds from xchange and offering double odds .. go figure lol) so the exchange at 10s looks good)

saying all that good luck man.

I did barney at 60s for tournament, what dya think :)

Klaasen is way too capable of throwing in an absolute stinker.
Report DartsnBooze January 1, 2016 4:52 AM GMT
n88uk - Another night crawler in the house! Grin

I've found a 20/1 poke from having a random look at markets I usually avoid. I've gone mad and stuck £5 on. It mainly falls on Klaasen having match darts as he tends to find a way in his combination shots to leave his fav D18 when the opportunity arises. All he has to do is split D18 and nail D9 and we have ourselves a winner. NG will be impressed. A bit like Wade leaving tops and hitting D10...that's not a 20/1 shot either! All aboard.

Norris v Klaasen - Winning Match Double - Double 9 @ 20/1 corals

P.S. D18 is 5/1 tote/baldy

Think Norris is overpriced myself, Klaasen rightly favourite but too unpredictable to be a 1.4 shot for me. Got Norris to win at least 3 sets at odds against.
Report Navel-Gazer January 1, 2016 1:11 PM GMT
Norris is hardly shíte, though admittedly he's erratic and has been for many years - when he hits form he's very easy on the eye as he's nailing T20's.

What he does seem to do is string together a few decent legs in 10/15 minute patches (before going off the boil again) which may enable him to stay in matches against better opponents.
He also has many odd checkout routes using T11 & T13 which I find both bewildering and entertaining.

I think there's little value in this match...certainly not 1.4 Klaasen though I do think he'll win but I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if Chuck gave him a very tough game.

Maybe D&B's advice about that 20/1 poke is the best way to go.
Report Navel-Gazer January 1, 2016 1:15 PM GMT
PS - as has already been mentioned...despite looking very good at the moment, Klaasen has blown hot & cold for years and also what's not been mentioned is the 'Taylor' Syndrome whereby victory over him used to be the death knell for the next round - that used to be a staggering statistic.

I won't be surprised at whatever happens in this tie.
Report Mikael D'Haguenet January 1, 2016 1:16 PM GMT
Rooting for Norris, though not with any great confidence.

D18 @ 5/1 x2 tot

Also done an afternoon match winning double:

chuck v jelle & ando v wade - both matches to be won on D5
Double 5 @ 16/1
Double 5 @ 16/1

2x1 singles cor
1x2 double cor
Report Navel-Gazer January 1, 2016 1:51 PM GMT
D&B - Coral's are 8/1 for D18 - that's a decent price and you've sort of talked me into it Happy
Report Navel-Gazer January 1, 2016 2:06 PM GMT
Jelle misses D10 and Chuck goes out on the bull which makes my banker bet of the day, +6.5 sets at 2/5 now seem vulnerable - it's now 3-1 Chuck and 7 sets is in EVERY accumulator Scared
Come on Klaasen...I need another set from you buddy.

I don't think Liam envisaged this did he?

PS - that Taylor stat is STILL relevant it seems.
Report Navel-Gazer January 1, 2016 2:07 PM GMT
PS - that was a very decent roll-call Chuck had in his Lakeside run a couple of years ago beating;

Waites
Durrant
Wilson
Dekker

before Bunting nailed him in the final.

Ando missed D20, D10, D10. 20 left.
Missed D10, hit D10.

D20 @ 5/2 in play £2
D10 @ 4/1 in play £1

All fine margins in both matches...

If we had our brains in working order and more time (hindsights a wonderful thing).
Cross match winning doubles in a double would have returned tasty odds...

Jelle V norris D18/D9/D5...8/1..20/1
Ando v wade D20/D10/D5...5/2..5/1..16/1

paid 31.5 corals

Any I digress...Gonna take a look at tonight's matches for cross match doubles Grin
