My mate's playing in a UK qualifier there tonight and he's been drawn against Bunting in the first round.

He lost 6-3 in the first qualifier, then he lost 6-2 to him in the second qualifier. At least he wasn't whitewashed. 
yeah, fair play. you think he'll ever get really good or has he found his level?
I don't think he'll ever break into the top 50 (he is somewhere around the top 128), he does have his tour card though. He was playing in the players championship yesterday where he lost in the first round to Darren Webster 6-5, again he held his own against a decent player.
He regularly averages 95-100 in his matches, but with the standard of darts nowadays he won't beat the big boys with that.
I'm going to watch him play a Face Off competition in September, Gary Anderson, Merv King and Stephen Bunting will also be playing along with a few other names, and some top amateurs.

No idea where he is. A few people who posted on a certain thread on the horse racing forum all got banned for a month, something to do with "gay banter" apparently. I wonder if he posted on it too?

It does say that. I'm not sure why, he plays in all the PDC Challenge Tours. If he wants to play in the big tournaments then he has to go to the qualifying events, which he hasn't had any luck in.
I may be bigging him up a bit too much then!

I think if enough tour card holders dont enter an event it goes to the next inline.
Anyone who entered Q school was entitled to enter the UK open quals and European Tour quals.
