List of rules for fellow forumites also entering the qualifiers Grin

Main rule that catches players out is the dress code.

15. Players are required to wear a collared shirt/polo shirt, trousers and shoes. Jeans, trainers and round-neck t-shirts are not permitted to be worn by players.
No player may wear clothing, or use flights bearing advertising that conflicts with the PDC or its official sponsors during any round.

I was thinking of using these flights Devil

All paid up for Coventry this saturday. Anyone else entering any of the qualifiers?

All paid up and set for Worcester this Saturday. Been a rough time of late and preparation has been piss poor at best. I decided last week to give the remaining qualifiers a miss but the draw is way to tempting to not give it a go. 2hrs by train (no changes) and a few liveners with the venue 100 yards away.

"Rileys Worcester winner" will play on the main stage, 2nd match of afternoon session Live on ITV4, with a mouth watering prospect of playing Stephen Bunting in 2nd round. Laugh

Coral UK Open
Friday March 6 - Afternoon Session (11.45am-5pm)
Main Stage
Preliminary Round
Jason Lovett v Ben Ward
Rory Duffy* v Rileys Worcester Qualifier

First round - Stage Seven
Rileys Chorlton Qualifier v Rory Duffy/
Rileys Worcester Qualifier

Second Round - Stage Two:
Rileys Chorlton Qualifier/Duffy/Rileys Worcester Qualifier v Stephen Bunting

* Rory is Linda Batten Duffy's son - I looked up to his mum. An England legend and top darter in her day.

Any other brave souls with big enough balls giving it a go? Grin

I thought i'd be able to do it, but no toeing the oche today. Too much going on of late, with my mother's funeral yesterday it all got a bit on top. That and near total sleep deprivation sealed it. Here's to giving it a good go next year and good luck to all playing in this weekend's qualifiers.

I'm sure you could charm one into actually paying you to take the ticket off him, right?
Report alun2005 December 11, 2015 11:31 PM GMT
Failing that, I hear a well-known pink-shirted chap, codenamed 'The Manager' always has a spare ticket for some enterprising young man.

I had a go at this last year. Never played in a league or anything but I'm pretty handy having had a board up in the spare room/office for almost 30 years since I was at school. Couldn't believe how much some people were drinking Shocked

Got to 4th round then was up against some guy who was hammering the lippy on the practice board. Was proper nervous but he started playing quite average (maybe nerves got to him to). I went 3-0 up then missed 6 darts at a double for the match. Never recovered and lost 4-3 Cry

Will have another go next time for sure. Is it acceptable to register for more than one venue?

You can enter as many as you like. Might see you there? Which ones you planning on entering?

I've been retired since July. My last comp being the Rileys National Finals where Darren Webster beat me 4-2.
I've pencilled in my comeback starting at my UK Open winning city of Wolverhampton, then Coventry, Wolverhampton (2), Solihull.
Who needs tourney practice after 30+ years of treading oches far and wide?
