The Official line from the PDC:

"Adrian Lewis declined the invite to the World Series of darts events so he could spend the summer with his young family."

He is also trying to shed 4 stones?

Thanks D&B...I hadn't heard that he declined the invitation.

PS - what's happened to Denis Ovens recently?
I put in a search for him and it seems he's relocated to Siberia with his family

I think the last time I saw Ovens on TV was with that dodgy shoulder business a couple of years ago - there was utter havoc on here with that late information...I'm sure he was playing a young lad...possibly Max Hopp?

So the PDC are taking the cream of darts around the world to promote their product, yet the Perth Masters won't be screened live via any tv network, or bookies small screen, let alone Official PDC youtube site, but it will be filmed live for future broadcast?

What's the thinking behind this decision @ PDC HQ, when the following week the Sydney Masters will be shown live (around the world)?

The Sydney Masters is being aired on Challenge TV here in the UK.

Since Matchplay, lost to Chisnall last week. Squeezed home 6-4 against Platt yesterday.

Since his Matchplay mauling by Taylor, mvg hasn't looked back. Though his leg on leg stats against Whitlock in last week's Singapore final would most likely have been punished if playing Taylor in the final instead. (Easy on paper).

Mvg hammered Kyle Anderson 6-0 yesterday.

Nicholson is another player who's changed his darts set up. When did it come fashionable to use the term "Darts set up?" Played well in beating an out of sorts Thornton in the Matchplay. Thornton duly stormed off the stage in anger (another bad loser). Don't think Nicho waved him goodbye like he did after beating Lewis in World Cup of Darts

He averaged 102+ in his 6-1 win over Tichowitsch yesterday, but repeating his performance (75% on doubles too) against mvg is another matter?
