Well a bit after the lord mayor's show given we probably witnessed one of the highest standard games ever. Hopefully Thornton can keep it close but it all depends how he starts. 1 bet I've had is over 6 maxes for Thornton based simply on the fact that the treble seems to be bloody enormous and hopefully we get at least 23 or 24 legs

Hi there by the way Wayne. Hope you're reading as usual, giz a shoutout.

That's what I mean goldcup. Taylor can be off the pace, but no-ones got the b0llocks to do anything about it.

400/1 about a whitewash wouldn't have backed that with stolen cash

Clearly rope a dope from Thornton he's just trying to lure Phil into a false sense of security

Was enjoying the lack of last dart conversion from Taylor until then
Report happyhibee November 17, 2013 7:45 PM GMT
Nah mate just had a small bet on over 6 for Thorn. Was total min stake as I felt it might be a blow out

There's definitely been a lot of darts that look high Silver that I'm double checking they're actually in
Report Eldrick November 17, 2013 7:53 PM GMT
sb, never saw your answer to earlier question - what price did you have waites to place/win before the off?
Report the silverback November 17, 2013 7:54 PM GMT
cameramen haven't been sure either HH. A lot more late zooming in than usual.
Report happyhibee November 17, 2013 7:54 PM GMT
Never believed thornton was gonna take that out
Report Eldrick November 17, 2013 7:55 PM GMT
be a bit gutted if you bought tickets for this match and missed the one before - sounds like a morgue in there now
Report the silverback November 17, 2013 7:55 PM GMT
Oh, I don't tend to completely price outrights Eldrick. But I had Waites fav over everyone in groups G and H so it was a comfortable bet without having to think hard about it.
Report happyhibee November 17, 2013 7:55 PM GMT
I never understand the point of buying tickets for the final. Only get to see 1 match, pay the highest price and could get a rout like this
Report the silverback November 17, 2013 7:56 PM GMT
Although as I said earlier too, I think i'm generally just a little too pro BDO.
Report happyhibee November 17, 2013 7:57 PM GMT
I think I've bet thornton's maxes twice this week and he hasn't covered. The 2 KO games I didn't he did.

Becoming one of the players I never get right

Report happyhibee November 17, 2013 7:59 PM GMT
The 1 thing I don't get is you'd think that players would start to relax and play better once they're miles behind but never seems to happen
Report Eldrick November 17, 2013 8:00 PM GMT
I've tweaked all BDO players upwards for this week (not George, bless him) but there's no way I could get Waites fav over Whitlock or Chisnall

I did think he looked a tempting bet, but once I'd priced it all up it just didn't make an ew bet for me
Report happyhibee November 17, 2013 8:01 PM GMT
Flair's won more
Report the silverback November 17, 2013 8:02 PM GMT
Fair enough. Tricky science the BDO/PDC thing. Different ways of approaching it which may give very different results.
Report Eldrick November 17, 2013 8:02 PM GMT
X factor results incoming, for anyone bored out of their mind here
Report happyhibee November 17, 2013 8:03 PM GMT
Should be done for Homeland at least
Report MC Roller November 17, 2013 8:05 PM GMT
What do you make of homeland hh.

It's not as good as series one but the hour still seems to fly by for me.
Report Eldrick November 17, 2013 8:06 PM GMT
There's no doubt this tournament produces plenty of strong opinions - I rate players completely differently here to other venues such as lakeside

Waites' stats here compared to his BDO stuff is bonkers, similar true for O'Shea

Far prefer pricing to be hard though, much more chance there will be value (or perceived value anyway)
Report Lori November 17, 2013 8:06 PM GMT
Another high 90s finish from a guy who looks like he can't hit the board.
Report Lori November 17, 2013 8:07 PM GMT
*average
Report happyhibee November 17, 2013 8:08 PM GMT
HTF is Thornton averaging 2 points less than Phil?

Think this series has been very average mate. 1st series was terrific, 2nd a bit hit and miss but this series has not been anywhere near as good. Storyline with Brody's daughter was absolutely pointless for me and him featuring in only 1 episode is weird. Would have been as well killing him off and starting with another terror threat like 24 used to do
Report Nilsson Schmilsson November 17, 2013 8:11 PM GMT
king john on comms, the puppy calling,  just missing tony green and it'd be just being back at the lakeside LoveLove
Report Lori November 17, 2013 8:11 PM GMT
Are they not counting missed doubles or something in these averages?
Report Eldrick November 17, 2013 8:12 PM GMT
0/13 to 6/21 thorn doubles

so he's hit 6/8 since horror start - that's solid

maybe i should start trading it

2-2 maxes another that looked awfully high in the bed
Report happyhibee November 17, 2013 8:16 PM GMT
Its funny how some sportsmen lose desire after winning so much but I think Phil's so motivated by money that's what keeps him going
Report Eldrick November 17, 2013 8:17 PM GMT
Have you got a hole in your correct score book at 16-7 lori?
Report MC Roller November 17, 2013 8:18 PM GMT
Huge first prize for the World Champs. May as well put Taylor's name on the winners cheque now.
Report happyhibee November 17, 2013 8:19 PM GMT
250k aint it? yeah he's looking fairly awesome right now
Report Eldrick November 17, 2013 8:19 PM GMT
I don't think Taylor gets much out of the money any more. I can imagine he gets a real kick out of stopping other players who think they might be unplayable though

What happened to Lewis today was utterly bonkers, esp from 8-7 in front?
Report happyhibee November 17, 2013 8:20 PM GMT
I think he does Eldrick he was speaking about how when he won a leg at the championship of darts he was thinking that's the gas bill paid. Then another win and he thought thats the leccy bill

The man's a millionaire why would you think like that unless you were just tight and obsessed with cash?
Report MC Roller November 17, 2013 8:21 PM GMT
Yes, 250k for Phil. no point putting down 250k for the lucky winner.
Report the silverback November 17, 2013 8:21 PM GMT
he does seem obsessed.

Not sure i have ever heard another sportsperson talk much about money, he mentions it in a very large proportion of his interviews.
Report happyhibee November 17, 2013 8:21 PM GMT
Ahh the old Hamilton comeback gets it's 18th mention this week
Report Lori November 17, 2013 8:21 PM GMT
Think you might both be right, he's definitely obsessed with cash but I do think he needs the kick up the arse to even bother trying these days.
Report MC Roller November 17, 2013 8:22 PM GMT
Phil did an arazi from 8-7 down.
Report happyhibee November 17, 2013 8:22 PM GMT
Some sportsmen get to a certain level that they say it's about titles not money. I think its the complete opposite for Phil

He's already set records that will never get beat so now I think it's just about making more and more cash
Report Eldrick November 17, 2013 8:23 PM GMT
yeah he certainly brings money up a lot, just don't know if it really is what drives him

i think he's more hungry to put everyone else in their place than he is fattening his bank balance
Report happyhibee November 17, 2013 8:23 PM GMT
Come on Phil give us a good old condescending interview after this. Hard match, lovely lad yadda yadda
