Whitlock had a gammy leg that same tournament (World's two years ago) and I have a vague recollection of someone else being none too well...they were dropping like flies!

This used to be the best forum on here by a country mile, especially this time of year with Hall of Famer Hibee's excellent World Champs previews. A shame hardly anybody posts anymore.
Maybe Hibee, Lori, Alun et al will return. Either that or they will be at Ally Pally going 'mental' singing the Toure song!

I'm not sure we'll get through the World Champs without hearing "he bullied him" and the classic "aaahh, Bristow bets"

After bumping into Bristow a few times on the glamorous darts 'scene' I can confirm that he is indeed an utter t0sspot of the highest order.

Met Bristow in a pub a few years ago, and he was perfectly friendly. But he'd always been my favourite player when I was a kid, so I'm probably biased. We only talked about gambling mind you (at least we had one thing in common!) And I didn't challenge him to a game, as I couldn't hit a cow's ar$e with a banjo.
