...James Wade receives 4 match ban for breaching rule 4.1. However, In a seperate incident Phil Taylor was CLEARED of any wrong doing? The word people are askinv for is "Transparency."
Another Wadeism...He cried illness and walked out of a pro tour event @ Wigan after seeing he'd been bracketed to play mvg? You could call it some kind of points totting up process that caught up with him.
It's ok for Taylor and Lewis to pull out of pro tour events at the 11th hr through mystery illnesses. Funny how no ones ever ill in the majors!
Naval, most of the darts forums are full of bickering 9 year olds, unlike here

I'm sure Hobo will have a different take on that...anyone remember the crazy betting fluctuations when the rumours were circulating about Ovens' shoulder?
Whitlock had a gammy leg that same tournament (World's two years ago) and I have a vague recollection of someone else being none too well...they were dropping like flies!
D&B - can you enlighten us further with the Wade business? I'm not his greatest fan but I think he's been hard done by.

How can i ever forget the Hobo incident. (I had a right good rant about it at the time) which might explain why it's Always on my mind when this kind of subject crops up - Playing one leg (not on one leg) then bailing with the loot strangely never caught on
Whitlock had a broken foot, but Dr Rod healed him in double quick time, resulting in the wizzard romping to a first round victory in impressive style.
Talking of the world champs, who could forget the sight of some players walking through the snow to get to ally pally
As far as i'm aware, Wadegate is now a closed subject (unless the DRA disclose the actual breeches.

This used to be the best forum on here by a country mile, especially this time of year with Hall of Famer Hibee's excellent World Champs previews. A shame hardly anybody posts anymore. Maybe Hibee, Lori, Alun et al will return. Either that or they will be at Ally Pally going 'mental' singing the Toure song!

Apology accepted Cosmo. It takes a big man indeed to recognise his mistake and act appropriately. I'm sure a well-known former East London darts player will be doing the exact same thing this morning. Right?

I'm not sure we'll get through the World Champs without hearing "he bullied him" and the classic "aaahh, Bristow bets"
After bumping into Bristow a few times on the glamorous darts 'scene' I can confirm that he is indeed an utter t0sspot of the highest order.

Met Bristow in a pub a few years ago, and he was perfectly friendly. But he'd always been my favourite player when I was a kid, so I'm probably biased. We only talked about gambling mind you (at least we had one thing in common!) And I didn't challenge him to a game, as I couldn't hit a cow's ar$e with a banjo.
