only when he wins and is in a good mood

Education time - When Taylor wins a match he signs the board for his charity/exhibitions, which is for a good cause. The losing player or officials are not obliged to sign it, but they generally do.

DNB, it may be for a good cause but there's no need to do it in public seconds after a match.

It could quite easily be done off stage. And there are many reasons why it would be more appropriate to do so.

Silver, that maybe so. It's obviously one of Taylor's many traits in showing his top dog status. "Do as i say, don't do as i do."

Anyone know when this phenomenon started?

I don't know, but I really wish someone does it to him if they beat him.

If Carlsberg did faces.............

Thought that Sk wasn't keen to do it last night, sort of shrugged his shoulders in a 'if I have to after you've thrashed me you koont' sort of way

Not a lot you can do if you are the opponent. Choices are sign it and confirm 'yes, I'm Phil's lapdog and will do what he says, he's the daddy' or refuse, look like an utter b'stard and get booed off stage. Not what you want either way, but very much forced upon you.

As someone said, definitely would love to see every player who beats Phil Taylor get the board down sharpish and make him sign it as the loser.

Is there any footage knocking about of Manley doing it to Taylor?
Report laynplay July 22, 2013 9:30 PM BST
