Maybe I'm being naive but doesn't a draw look good ?

A draw does look a prospect but just so hard to read this pitch. I think England should be able to match this score but thus far I have not had a bet.

If that was hitting it didn't bounce as much as I would have expected.

Glad I have not bet on this match. It is dirge. Was tempted to lay Pakistan around evens. Still not sure this is a draw buf did not get involved to build up an early speculative pot.

Paks throwing the match is also out of the question right now with the odds

I would not declare if I was Root and would try and bat beyond tea tomorrow. If the pitch dies deteriorate it will not be quick

Harry Broom is an amazing player.

His Roof is the best English batsman by zi have ever seen and I have seen Geoff Boycott in the era of great fast bowlers and not so flat pitches.

KP is mg favourite and most exciting batsman.

Almost certain draw , only chance for a win is if England declare very soon and give themselves a chance to get Pakistan out quickly and cheaply imo

Pretty sure England declare after tea. Little point to declare if pitch remains flat.

Thus Brook is rather extraordinary. I really want to see him tested. Maybe next summer we shall see his mettle. Very impressed with his stamina and desire to go big rather than play Hollywood.

Draw rightly favourite but will the pitch deteriorate?

Pakistan will be tired, mentally as well as physically. If they start well Confidence will grow. If they lose a wicket the rot will set in. They also have form.

We shall see what happens after lunch tomorrow and if there is any significant spin. My view is there will be tomorrow afternoon. Much will friend on how many they score before lunch

Tea can't come quickly enough for Pakistan.

If I were a gambler, they look a lovely lay at around evens.

Four or five successive second innings collapses; heads fried; loads of pressure; needing to bat ~100 overs to make game safe - all weighed against a ridiculously flat pitch.

Temptation would be to pull the punch and wait (as their price will have itself if they're still one down after half hour of final session)

Hence why I'm not a good gambler!

The pitch has dried out. You can even see the outfield getting brown but it could just as easily have remained a Road. It’s a gut feeling type of call.

Not sure how long they are going to hold out but had a great trade as backed the draw at 600/1  and 400/! after the 6th wicket fell And a little bit with Billy's at 95/1 .Good start to the weekend!!

Already by a long long way the best I have ever made in a cricket match as it's not normally my game to play. Hope you all enjoy the game guys.And Elisjon that was a brilliant prediction yesterday, had no idea that would happen

Personally I just love the game and enjoy watching it but I have a gambling gene that loves an itch.

It is a great game to bet on because of the length of time involved and history and weather and all sorts. Sometimes the market can get it horribly wrong and that is when you can make a really speculative punt with great odds.

I love talking about the game and garnering people’s opinions. Sometimes they can provide a spark and insight. Pakistan should never have lost this game. I thought it was a Road and  tried not to get involved but when England were 3.75 I saw an opportunity but it moved so quick I only got in around 2.84. In hindsight they were not really great odds because it really should have been a draw but dems de breaks. Today we won a bet we should not have.

Well done as well WD.I know England battered the bowling and took advantage but the Pakistan bowling and fielding was very poor, I genuinely think that they thought all they had to do, was to just bat the second innings out.The turning point in the match imo was the first wicket first ball, it scrambled heads ..

I don’t think Pakistan thought it would be a formality. The lad from Sainsburys predicted it! He was disconsolate before the game started! Most people know about Pakistan in the third innings!

Good to start with a win though so we’ll done again.
