Ironic that SA have won all their games so far but could be on a plane home tomorrow morning! SA are a dangerous side so I hope they go out and it is always good to have the hosts in the tournament. SA may nit have been playing great but they have dangerous batters and bowlers.

I want the Convicts knocked out but I have to say for good or bad , or rather high voltage excitement again to be knocked out after just one defeat would rankle.
I think the Super Six phase was better in getting the two best teams into the Final or rather semi finals. I would have some sympathy for Aus if the weather deals them a bad hand. If they got beat by India fair dinkum.
Like I said this format with the weather has brought some excitement with the emergence of young teams and the weather but I really think the draw should favour the best teams ( and Afghanistan have been one of the best teams) but if Aus get knocked out of this Tournament after one bad day at the office and some rain it will be sad and unfair though of course I would laugh. Tbh I would rather India smash them.

I've no bias towards anyone taking the trophy so i'm hoping Australia get through and we see those top 4 teams in the SF , Saffers unbeaten and they're delivering what it says on the tin really in that those 4 middle order make them a very solid outfit and you know you'll have to play very well to beat them , Stubbs 29 knock was gold dust last night and luckily for them Jansen is far from being the worst No7.
Not sure the result went for England last night as i'm sure they would have preferred the match up in Trinidad than Guyana at night vs India.
No outright financial involvement from the outset but did nick some average 32 England when the outright market lagged behind the weather market vs Scotland when odds collapsed on a completed match , but have traded that back now after they qualified for SF.
May the best team win and will be following every ball

Bowled with remarkable stupidity again today and we really don't deserve to go through. Dozens of half volleys from Starc in particular saw the ball never leave the rooftops. Think we have been pretty poor all competition especially our fielding which has been a joke. Will be cheering on the Poms now and I think they will give India problems especially with Rashid bowling beautifully and the openers hitting form at the right time. No time for the Indian side at all and I hope England smash them to bits.

Somehow despite everything the 2 best teams got to the final
Weather did not cheat anybody
The “ lesser “ teams not just got a chance to shine…. they shine!
No rain days…..
But it worked!

Rohit has batted magnificently. He has Captained just as well.
I honestly thought it a Tournament too far.
Too late to change but Jaiswal at the top for Dube with Kohli at 3 makes sense to me.
SA looked balanced and Rabada was my fancy bowler before Bumrah emerged. I like Jansen but am really excited when Nortje bowls
I seriously hope it is an exciting final on a decent wicket

must be the end of the road for moeen ali, johnny bairstow and chris jordan all between 34 and 36 and theneed to rebuild forthefuture.
butlers captaincy must be under scrutiny along with the coach mott.
rashid is also 36 but has shown himself to be a world class spinner
time will tell

Yes hoping for a good final that's extremely competitive , Saffers can't be under rated with that very good middle order of which they'll probably need at least 2 of 4 to contribute , may also need a dynamic power play from QDK and a Klaasen cameo to beat this mob.
India bat first.

India are still short here. Can’t believe Rabada is getting tap!
I am not sure 170 is a winning score but Shamsi did spin it so if it really is drying out in then SA are in trouble.

Rohit has carried India into this final and Dube and Kohli have given India a great shot at the title.
Not my top 3 picks although I did have Kohli as my number 3 bat.
I think this is now a winning score

Yes think that's always a good posting score in a final however good a track , not much changed for me and i'll stick with what i said before the game.

I think they need a quick start and is Arshdeep does not swing it they must go after him to put pressure on India. Klassaen might be key j. Getting after the spinners if that is possible. I think it will spin myself and SA ard fceked but all to play for of course

I love Markram as a player , as soon as he enhances his shot improvisation reckon he'll go for fortunes in the T20 auctions.
Flip flopped from 1.15 so that's the finances sorted , great trading tournament.

Saffers blow it big time ,needed 27 off 27 with plenty wickets in hand.Fair play to India , compensation for the one day tournament they deserved to win.

Crazy pressure cooker stuff that , posting a decent total means so much and tbf to Rohit he bats first at every sensible opportunity , he's have batted first if winning the toss in the SF.
I feel as shattered as they do and absolutely starving

If you look across the history of T20 though i'd reckon EVERY team has been beaten from that position more than once , admittedly some more frequent than others but still it's the format that creates all this panic chasing and runs posted is such an advantage especially in a KO match.
Can never understand the desire to punt pre-match in the limited over stuff as the trading spikes continually show the only way in this format is to set your numbers , lay low and get out at your upper target.
Anyway thoroughly enjoyed the tournament but as for England they lost 3 matches against the best 3 teams they played so no chance with those numbers , have to admit if they played the tournament again next week i'd back Australia , they were due one bad performance in some competition some day or other and it cost them this time vs Afghan's but remain one of the all time great multi format teams.
Good luck all

Bumrah was magnificent, Pandyman stood up when counted on, Suryakunar’s catch was incredible.
Oh and Pant’s knee injury was very clever
Suryakumar’s catch was incredible
SA did not choke, they did not think it through, got their tictacs wrong in the last 5 overs and were magnificently outplayed by India
All SA had to do was was knock it round and take easy singles. Tbf they continued with their style but with reward comes risk

Return of Bumrah The battle of Pants wounded knee Catch of the next ball wide and full Surayakumars catch on the boundary
It was not a regular SA choke

In the modern game of T20 a run a ball should have been a cakewalk. Massive choke and in the end the amount of runs they got beat by with so many balls left was incredible.

When Saffers were in that chasing position at 1.06 obviously India in same position would have been 1.01 / 1.02 probably but not certain would have scraped home but if Saffers had have posted that total i'd be a long way off convinced India would have chased it down , chasing in a final is the ultimate pressure cooker and as we know strange things often happen.
Great tournament despite the rain and looking forward to next time
