Seemed a fair prospect before he went to Yorkshire. Remember seeing him a couple of times against South Africa and though not as accurate as Leach he did ok.

big ask of Rehan Ahmed if he does play...wouldn't be surprised if they just rely on Root for some spin overs if Moen isn't fit..
or prepare a pitch with some life in it for the seamers....
now we start with four seamers for the second test the pitch at lords needs to be a lot more lively than Edgbaston....
All about opinions, I hope the new fella does well but sorry taking a few wickets against Ireland means bugger all when you are thrown into the cauldron against the Aussies, also, if going with the “no spinner” route (even though I actually think ROOT is a better spinner that most people realise) have you seen the record of WOAKES at Lords? I’d also give DUCKETT a rest and a man in form is HAIN plus extra importantly he does have the temperament, he does have a bit of the “up yours” about him, the Aussies wouldn’t intimidate him.
