Was unbelievable! Wood not Root! |
By:
Very happy with a 79 run lead.
|

Superb morning from England (especially if you've nibbled England at 3s!).
Tad frustrating but I got a couple of tickles above and below evens so I shouldn't complain. |
By:
Where do you operate on football, WD?
My ways aren't suited to it - and not touched it in anger since Greece royally rinsed me back in 2004! |
By:
I am better st cricket tbh apt
I tend to go with hunches and form and teams on my radar. Probably too wide a market. Cricket is a smaller vista with a lot more information. Muscle memory, weather, wear and tear also comes into it. I also like the fact the market often gets it wrong and I can often tell when this happens I just love watching cricket |

Ts there is an Ishan Kushan spectacular on Sky 422
Kishan should have opened in the recent T20 instead of Rohit who is yesterday’s man imho and J am the biggest Fan of the Exceptionally Talented Rohit Sharma! Ishan is 158 no off 106 and is only playing because Rohit is sick or injured! |

Yikes, he could just about get a triple
|
By:
Crazy batting! Commentators said it was a slow pitch!
264 is Rohit’s India record. Somebody has got 277, which, also looks under threat! Back to tgd real World coulda, shoulda reduced red around the 1.3’s Here we go 200 off 126! That is 290 by himself off 21 overs! |
By:
Gawn 210
Fastest double though! |
By:
Topped up this morning at 1.6, 1.75, 1.85 and 2
Pakistan at one point just before lunch were odds on of close I think but certainly favourites in the betting if not odds on. To see Rizwan and Babar go in the space of a few balls is well astonishing. Big crowd building g up in the expectation of a Pakistan victory. 64-0 at lunch. Crazy prices today! |
By:
They were indeed odds on, tickled 1.94 momentarily.
Special delivery from Robinson, and almost did the same again ten minutes later. |
By:
Hope you laid some off to go in again with another drift...
|
By:
Three identical dismissals. Nuts.
|
By:
And I borrowed a dollop of that fortunate timing at last
|
By:
Decided Pakistan could go nowhere fast so had a bite of England when they hit that first boundary in yonks.
|
By:
Absolute madness England went back up to 1.46 prior to third wicket.
Glad you got some easy money too apt! I tend not to trade on swings. Should have at 1.19 but my ego and arrogance leave me backing my initial judgement. Timing is everything but not my style. |
By:
Not betting on it but another entertaining game which is not over yet.
|
By:
Flip.

I have recently got the time and facilities to watch this test series, its a goodun but what really strikes me is the quality of the commentary and summarising when compared to the football coverage, insightful, pretty much not partisan and some nice anecdotes during any lull in play, its a real shame that this cant be enjoyed on terrestrial TV.
Comment re Stokes as a captain, I feared he would be a Bothamesqe disaster but he looks like the real deal, always thinking and no shortage of plan , I havent seen him when England have been under the cosh but the signs are good. |
By:
Damn! I thought it had missed the pad and they thought there was a noise
|
By:
Unless I've missed something, seems loopy for Pakistan to bump their batter down from six to eight, purely to keep left-handers at the crease (and, I guess, nullify Leach).
|
By:
Baffled.
|
By:
Big odds change for that catch.
|
By:
He was holding the innings together. If he stayed Pakistan win. They still might but there are a couple of rabbits in the hutch. 65 odd to get. Doesn’t sound much and at the same time may be huge. Still tough tk call this. England did themselves no favours losing the last 5 for 19 yesterday
|
By:
Abrar could have a sensational debut here if he carries this home
|
By:
|
By:
Very tough to get these runs but who knows
|
By:
Well you never know but specially in Pakistan!
England should win from here, famous last…..! |
By:
This is a crazy game!
|
By:
To be this close to winning two Tests in two weeks in Pakistan - having managed two previously in the entire history of the game - tells you everything you need to know about Ben Stokes as captain.
And this England team. They're over-flowing with self-belief & confidence - so powerful. |
By:
Incessant collapses, not to mention 30/3 every innings, have been replaced by frightening batting.
Aside from Sibley being jettisoned, it's almost the same seven, too. Remarkable. |
By:
Something special.
|
By:
Incredible but do not get carried away. We nearly blew this and had to fight incredibly hard to force a victory. They did not have their best fast bowlers.
Great win though regardless. Pakistan is a tough place to win |
By:
This team is nuts
I don’t think we’ve ever such a bonkers approach that gets results in such a way The football team needs a similar approach mentality wise |
By:
8 from 9, following immediately after 1 from 17.
Revolutionised. Regardless of results (variance happens), I think we can get carried away. We have a team of winners, now. |
By:
Quite extraordinary to keep winning even when things look difficult. To win a test in Pakistan in 3 days plus a session and a bit can't have happened often. Sobering to read that in another part of Pakistan, many people have been killed in an attack by the Taliban. Brave decision to even be playing there.
|
By:
We obliterated India and NZ at home.
SA brought the best bowling attack and we took the series win. Won't work in Pakistan... |
By:
Also great to see so many new names making an impact. Brook is a revelation as is Abrar with 11 wickets in his first ever test. Only Jacks failed to take a wicket out of the England bowlers and in this game, Stokes didn't even bowl at all! The 3 England fast bowlers were quite outstanding again. The key to the team is of course the captain's strategy and also their ability to rotate the batting and bowling to suit the conditions.
|
By:
Out of interest, how low did Pakistan get? (presumably at 290/5)
