Well played Australia. Total domination in all aspects of test match cricket. Thought the Pomms had it in them to win one test but they must be the biggest set of spineless cricketers to have ever set foot on our shores. One exception to the rule Mark Wood. He can be very proud of his overall performance. Searing pace and the ball he got Usman out off the gloves was superb. ADVANCE AUSTRALIA FAIR

The worst England team to tour the penal colony.

really looking forward to this Ashes series

by all accounts we've had the best ever preparation

and with Silverwood and Root at the helm we look practically invincible

if i were the Aussies i'd be rightly fearful

could well get whitewashed on home soil

Some interesting player ratings given by the Guardian at the end of the tour

Anderson 8 wickets @  23.38  was given a 6 Plain
Robinson 12 wickets @ 23.42 was given a  5 Shocked

The English Cricket Board have announced that Novak Djokovic will be their new batting coach they said we know he hasn't any experience in our game but as it took Australia 2 weeks to get him out he is our best option Laugh

The GAshes Test has been a lot more competitive than any of the men's matches - what happens if the girls' Test side starts consistently beating the Aussies? Will people demand eventually the utter humiliation of the men by demanding a multi-Test series for the girls and only a single Test for the men?

Aus traded in the 100s (peaked at 1,000 for pence) then came back down to near evens

England traded into the 100s (peaked at 300) then went as low as 1.07

Draw traded 1.01 then out to 10s+ (peaked of 18)

Result: Match Drawn

incredible game...called it a day as wasn't trading it when Beaumont was out and thought any realistic chase was probably done at that point..
great effort to give it a proper go (Eng) even if it did nearly end in tears..
wish I had traded it looking at some of those numbers..

England U19 v Afghanistan U19

10 runs off 1 legitimate ball including 2 catches, 2 no balls, a change in bowler meaning 2 bowlers bowled the same ball I think. Correction, the sam3 bowler. Commentator git his knickers in a twist there thinking bowler was gawn for 2 successive no balls. The second was above waist height Beamer so confused him. Fir the record the Umpire was a bird and got it right. The commentator was a man and got it wrong, a right Charlie, which, is also his name. 20 odd from the over. Exciting stuff.

20-run over. The pendulum swings Afghanistan's way. 46-run stand off 27 balls. The game could be decided by a matter of inches. Had Sales had his foot behind the line on the first ball of the over, it's a wicket and Afghanistan are seven down. Instead, it opens the door for another no ball and another free hit and absolute chaos.
43.6
1
Sales to Abdul Hadi, 1 run
Another charge, Sales drags the length back further and Noor taps this to point for one.
43.5
1
Sales to Noor Ahmad, 1 run
Short on the body, pulled flat to deep backward square for one.
43.4
1
Sales to Abdul Hadi, 1 run
Knee high full toss on off, punched gently to mid-off for one.
43.3
6
Sales to Abdul Hadi, SIX runs
What guts! What drama! Length ball on the legs, Hadi charges, doesn't get anywhere near the pitch, just continues with a checked punch but somehow times this daylights out of this to send it sailing over mid-on, who was up in the ring, and clears the rope by 10 yards.
43.2
1
Sales to Noor Ahmad, 1 run
Back of a length on off, goes back to flick this into midwicket for one.
43.1
2
Sales to Noor Ahmad, 2 runs
Length ball on fifth stump, goes for a huge heave and skies this a mile high over midwicket. Prest takes a catch but the ball was in the air forever on the free hit and the Afghan pair alertly run a sharp two.
Duncan : "7 ball over this time ". Make it 8!

The umpires have conferred and more extraordinary drama. Sales is being allowed to continue bowling because the ball was wide enough outside the stumps to be deemed not dangerous bowling and so he is allowed to continue!
43.1
5n-b
Sales to Noor Ahmad, (no ball) 4 byes
No ball over chest height on sixth stump, Noor swings through it and the keeper flubs the take letting it go through to the rope for five no balls! It's his second no ball over chest height as well! He bowled one in his opening spell. So Sales has to come out of the attack! Incredible drama!
43.1
3nb
Sales to Noor Ahmad, (no ball) 2 runs
Short ball outside off, skies a pull over point and a catch is taken... but Jacqueline Williams has her arm out to signal a no ball! And Afghanistan alertly keep running while England is too busy celebrating! Thomas took a simple catch and flicked the ball away while his teammates swarmed in. Initial replays look like he had indeed overstepped and it is further confirmed by the third umpire.

Thought we'd blown it with that over you reference,
phenomenal job by Boyden to go for only 4 in the 45th over to get us back in it and then a mix of some fortunate stuff (long hop caught on the boundary that should have been clearing the rope) and some good stuff from Rehan Ahmed (certainly bowls a good googly but way too many half trackers from him on the day)..in the end the scoreboard looks reasonably comfortable but was anything but..

still first U-19's final since 1998 so big credit to the lads...

India batting looking good and Aussie bowling looking ordinary ( thank the fceking lard! ) so some hope for us in the future. Aussie do not have a fast bowler at this level which is a little surprising.

The batting and bowling coaches need to go as well as the Head Coach. The King of Spain cannot be the sole sacrificial.

Clutching at straws again WD. You don't quite fathom the winning mentality the Aussies have. If you think we will be uncompetitive in the years ahead think again. It's not in our nature.

So easy to make you bite or should I say nibble. Proverbial losers Giles, Silverwood and Thorpe and I would put you in that category as well.English cricket in disarray and will now try to get Langer/Ponting to rescue your sorry asses. It doesn't get much better than this. Great slagging off of the aussies this last 6 months and your judgement is as good as the PM. I know you love cricket, you just know nothing about the game.
