Crikey it's hard to get yourself installed as fav for one of these, I've seen comments re a new Indian attacking approach being a factor in the defeat, I don't see it myself, it was just a superb bowling and fielding performance by England in fairly helpful conditions, I think anybody would have struggled to score freely against them. Same venue today, I have no idea if they'll be using the same pitch, but I can't see many people wanting to be on India if they're batting first even if they aren't.

New pitch
Shastri and Kholi would have given the groundsman a fair old rollicking

India's bowling looks light. Hardik is going to have to bowl all 4 and he can be a proper pieman

Yeah, a lot of pressure on the bowlers, knowing there's no back up.

I'm sick of hearing about two paced pitches
It's absolute nonsense

seems a fairly similar surface to the last one, Batsman's body language indicating it's tough, but Ind bowlers are going to be the ones under pressure if they don't get a couple of wickets soonish.

If they can't smack every ball for six it's "two paced"
Looks like they are trying to hit the ball too hard

both these sides stacked battingwise..this will be won or lost with the bowlers and wasn't impressed with India's last time out and see no reason to change my opinion..Chahal was dreadful

Eng throwing this away..will have to bowl well

England look half-decent at 2.7 after that last 30 minutes of middling nothing.

A better score than the odds suggest, prob got 20 extra runs with mis fielding and edges
By:

When: 14 Mar 21 16:20
Yup. Hard to think it was solely poor batting/bowling skills. Slightly favour India, wouldn't touch 1.62

SL doing their standard thing. Good start and then a capitulation after 20 overs

You'd think Ind need to get ahead of the game against the new ball and Archer's pace, pitch should suit the Currens
