2 test starting 5.30 this morning, not sure if ive seen the draw priced as big as 18/1 at the start of a match before, couple of wicketless overs be single figures.

3 balls in draw 13/1

sorry , not started and 13/1, back to 14 .

Yeah I was intrigued by the draw price, but not intigued enough to set my slarm for 5:30 to see what the pitch looked like.
![]() Pondering how low Afghan can go here, esp with all that room in the draw price[:mischief: ![]() |

Re the draw price, it’s almost if people have taken notice of Cruncyfrog’s excellent thread of 12 years standing and thought to themselves, “He might be onto something, here”
|
By:
anyway, switched on the telly and the pitch looks ok, perhaps the market doesn't believe the batsmen of Afghan/Zim have the skills and concentration levels that you find amongst top teams such as England which allows them to compile big totals on a regular basis
![]() .anyway a small back of the draw at 14.5 it is. |
By:
I can't resist a big draw price on what looks to be an ok track so far
Pretty sticky prices at present |

Comms are doing their best to ramp the draw
|
By:
Umps are always absolutely desperate to squeeze an extra over in before a break. They almost sprint to their positions and it normally triggers a wicket.
|
By:
Welcome back Juce, thought you'd got the perma ban stick!
|
By:
and market will have a massive hard on for Rashid Khan bowling
|
By:
Draw still seems too big - market probably over emphasising the impact Rashid Khan will have based on his pyjama bowling
|
By:
2 sessions and one wicket later and the draw is 9.2, I definitely got this wrong, reading markets is as important as reading conditions in test matches, I didn't think the market would be this keen on the Afghans.

By:
Pitch still looking incredibly flat, could get a very nice run on the draw price when Zimbabwe bat
|
By:
Need to put their foot down if they're planning on declaring tonight
|
By:
Yeah Afghan price steady since it reached 1.13, don’t think it would take much of an opening stand for it to start reversing.
400/1+ on Zim looks ok, Afghan do need to win, so if Zim get a decent first innings total, Afghan might have to set them something vaguely chaseable. ![]() |
By:
I wouldn't back Eng at 1.13 from this position, never mind the hounds
|
By:
... obvs there are other scenarios for the possibility of a Zim win, but they require a bit of imagination

By:
One over without a wicket from Radish and it will drops from 9s to 5s
![]() |
By:
Such a slow pitch you can just play everything off the back foot
|

Hasmatulla playing for the red inker

By:
Can we trust these mug zimbabwe batsmen not to collapse in a heap

By:
CHAAARGE

By:
So how long do Afgan intend to bat here, I think it's given that the lad will be allowed to get his 200, but how many overs would they want at Zim tonight, I'm guessing not many if any!
|
By:
The "consortium" are making sure we have to see an over of Radish before there is any movement
|
By:
Normally you get a nice draw move when the batting team are faffing about before a declaration
|
By:
Declare when he gets his 200 hopefully
|
By:
Not even had a quick slog for 30 mins or so
