Although we cant say we were there, we lived it, we breathed it, sport sometimes gives us all a great uplift
Wonderful surprise to wake up and watch the last 16 overs of what must have been an amazing match all the way. I thought that India were reckless at times when they had it in their hands but going for suicidal runs and reverse sweeps played with the Aussies minds and they fell apart. Huge result with 6 top players out.

Watched first session - tv was still on in background - so woke up, on and off semi-conscious ---- came round (kind of
) to see Washington get bowled out, must have drifted again, drifted back to earth a short time later to as tv got louder
. "That's cool, well done India", and turned over. Drifted off, up late - just caught up with work.
Turned a very small profit into a pleasing one, what was only a punt. Cricket and NFL - you just never know. In the last few years I consistently, almost robotically, re-invest 50% of small/tiny profits, 25% of medium profits, 10% of good profits - on the outsider. Overall its paying off, lose some but win more - very often just claw back the re-investment stake anyway, like a free bet.
However NFL and Cricket has me f*ckin' wrecked !! Early night tonight.
( If NFL ever gets the liquidity of Cricket it will be potentially bonanza time).

Have to congratulate the Indian side. Watched every ball last night and they showed a grit and determination which was quite frankly unbelievable. Pujara copping it everywhere and standing up to the hostility of Cummins and Hazelwood. He must be black and blue today with the blows he sustained. Special mention to skipper Rahane who accepted victory in the most dignified of ways. I thought his leadership, bowling changes and attacking and innovative field placements showed him to be in a different league to Paine. Australia weren't terrible but they could not get the job done on a 5th day wicket which to be fair played quite well. Not too many gremlins in the pitch and the Aussies couldn't get much swing going.Starc and Lyon bitterly disappointing especially the former. He didn't look dangerous and the Indians milked him with little fuss.
For me Paine isn't the answer as skipper or wicketkeeper. He was really poor behind the stumps and thought his field placings was perplexing at times. Wade not good enough in the middle order and the openers were fairly dismal throughout the series. I also think it's time for Langer to step down and be replaced by a better cricketing brain and a tougher character. There is only one obvious choice. You can't be losing games like this ever again.

Indian squad must be serious if they could win missing 6 of their top players.
They were brilliant. Almost their B team. The bowlers who came in did a magnificent job. How they paced the innings was terrific. Great test match, great series. Next up for India the Pomms.
