Umpire wearing gloves gives bowler ball. Bowler not allowed to put spit on it, bowls. Batsman hits/misses, field field repeat. So what is this "natural vector" lark?

Bowler bowls and hands will be sweaty so tranferring his sweat to ball. Fielder retrieves ball scratches face. Pretty obvious how it could spread especially as most fast bowlers are sweating heavily in the summer.

Would using alcohol wipes help the ball swing?
