Is the new series on Iplayer or do we have to wait until Sunday?

Umpire Bruce Oxenford says: "The forecast is not that good this morning unfortunately, but we'll do what we can to get play started. They do great work here in Sri Lanka, the entire ground gets covered. The beauty of that is, when it does stop raining, we can start play sooner. At this point, the ground staff have told us it will take about 90 minutes to get the ground ready if rain stops now."

good morning, up 5.00 am, only to find out theres rain , long 4 or 5 days in store.

The optimism is seemingly starting to bear fruit as Andrew Fernando brings another update: Drizzling very, very slightly, but groundstaff have started moving an seem to be getting ready to take the covers off. Much brighter now than it was half an hour ago
Andrew Fernando spices things up further: First sighting of the pitch. Looks like it might have a light covering of grass, actually |

SL 29-1. Batting slowly but this pitch is not as slow as the one at Galle.

Oh FFS, I forgot to place my sittig bet at 11.0 and dozed off. Now a wicket's fallen.
Could have cashed out now for a free bet. Why do I do this to myself. |
By:
to be fair there was only $25 traded at 11 so not to much gain to be made there.
|
By:
You're in dollars. Are hope you're in a better time-zone.
|
By:
I am in dollars. Australian dollars. But in NZ so it is now 9:24pm
|
By:
Are you as restricted in NZ as you wold be if in Aus?
|
By:
no no restrictions here at all really. The state do mutter from time to time that its not fair on the TAB (state funded and operated bookie) that these other operators are out there but no animus to change.

sri lanka 144/6 at tea and its pissing down, surprised if any more play today. scoring at just over 2 runs anover, loads of rain about 1.5 draw here looks big to me.
|
By:
weird how the draw is longer now than this time yesterday
![]() |
By:
sri lanka 244 all out
|
By:
What plummeted the draw? It was 1.8ish at 8 and then 9 down then a few runs later its 1.45?
Something new in the weather forecast? |
By:
theyve already lost about 2 sessions on the 1st 2 days with rain, the draw been up and down all morning, started today in the 1.50s and then like you saywent into the near 1.8 and down now
|
By:
ive been messing about last 15 mins, and had forgootten i put 50 quid up at , 12 on nzealand earlier this morning it was matched about 10 mins ago, great but was anyone on the exchange then , god knows how i got matched
|
By:
I was pleased to get my 8s matched shortly before a drop below 6s until you said that.
I can't fathom the fragility of these markets sometimes - it often doesn't hurt to leave "silly" bets up just in case of a sausage trade. I only have a delayed picture feed - nowt with sound. I hate it. If there's a kerfuffle in the markets I like to hear it validated by the sound of a near wicket or a dropped catch a few minutes later on the feed. Random movements of one or two whole points are just perplexing, especially when a large blocker bet gets eaten in one hit and several levels below also get taken out only for the market to go back to where it was above that one "stubborn" level. |
By:
yes im watching on 365
|
By:
At least there's nowt on the radar for today so we can trade between the two outcomes without fear of getting stuck in a position.
|
By:
Blimey - there's actually a stream on BF today! Seems to appear completely randomly throughout a given match.
|
By:
anyone see anything other than a draw here
|
By:
If the weather holds up there's plenty of time for either side to make a Horlicks of this.
Assuming that the most likely outcome will actually eventuate is the quickest way to the poorhouse in 5-day Tests. |
By:
WTF did that come from?
|
By:
still raining start delayed, draw 1.15
|
By:
radar clear and raining, complete opposite of how it normally is
![]() |
By:
cost myself a fair bit of green laying at 1.2 and having to re back at 1.14

By:
brutal train!
|
By:
it's stopped raining but it's going to take 2 hours for some reason!!
The groundsmen are it!! |
By:
