Having an amazing IPL on the tosses but sadly lost a few hundred on this one. Proper betting wise, stung by ABdV missing this game and RCB batting first after losing the toss as was on them around 2.2. I've topped up as high as 2.8 for 2k of exposure already so rather hoping Kohli clicks.

Market has them one chance in three to chase this. That feels ridiculous to me: RCB's attack isn't terrible and it's a huge score, even on a flat deck with the ropes set well in. Anyway, have an excessive 500 of green on KKR to play with if needed.

Still reckon the pitch is fine but Steyn made it move. Even a totally flat deck with under 13 boundaries shouldn't make chasing 214 a train though.
Market has the absolute hots for this chase. One down and barely over a run a ball and 1.35.
As in RCB only 1.35, should be about 1.18. Anyway, got shot of lays of RCB at 1.31 on the wicket for tiny improvement in position. Left myself just the 500 green KKR again. I know early in the chase but already RRR climbing.

Can't be bothered to trade this further unless I see a stupidly long price on RCB later on, past 1.5. Certainly not laying them 1.19 when they really ought to win this approximately 90 percent of the time.
Also, Gill and Robbie after two early wickets spells some consolidation to me and Rana isn't usually a huge hitter either, which should lead to an even higher RRR. I know 17 an over wasn't enough to contain Dre Russ last time they played but even he can't be scoring at over 300s all the time.
Actually should just have taken it routinely over his head first go, had thought it was higher, quicker and more out of reach. Not complaining though.

Anyway, of course, given that I had absolutely tons of green on RCB earlier, it has to be said that I've traded my way to a much smaller profit than was available but even if you think the market is flat out wrong, you can't always stand the red. I do in other markets but I don't trust T20 enough.
Stupidly steep rate at this point, such that each dot ball pushes it up really quite a long way (about 0.2) and even singles hurt the batting side a bit. Obviously Russ has the range to bring almost any RRR down but don't think the others quite do. Maybe Uthappa and Karthick on good days, I suppose.
They're not making a great job of chasing 140 so far, are they? Let alone over half as many again

Refuse to believe they can chase this but 666/4 has somewhat put it back in the realms of the merely very unlikely from the apparently impossible. That 6 doesn’t hurt them either.

yeah but RRR means less then less overs there are, 17-18 over 10 overs is hard, 17-18 for 1 or 2 overs is much more doable
They got 35 in 7 balls at one point there. Fortunately only 2 from the next 3 balls.
That’s another terrible failure to run a batsman out.

It’s crazy. His overall IPL SR of 184 is mad enough but he’s well over 200 this edition not even counting today.
Any other batsman in, even a huge hitter, you’d say this would be well beyond them but I’m far from comfortable right now. Priceless dot though.

Yep, over just the one over, it about balances out.
Not quite but another single and Rana on strike suits the bowling side. You have to be able to defend 61 off 3 overs, don’t you?

WTAF? Over 80 in the PPs summed is probably reasonably odds on but even if they mean that it’s a really, really terrible bet with the only positive being that the two bets on scoring shots correlate with high PP scores. Presume voided as no Buttler though.
I've read that as both powerplays need a RPO of >13. Should be like 300/1 just for that double

Can’t be over 80 in each PP, that’s outlandishly unlikely. I can’t immediately work out how likely Jos is to hit 2+ 6s or QdK 3+ 4s but both feel reasonably likely not to happen, especially the 6s bit. My guess is something like 0.4 times 0.6 times 0.7 which is around 6s, yes.
Basically daylight robbery, even by a bookmaker's standards!
