That is a good question. As far as I can see the IPL play-offs start 7th May with the final on the 12th (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Indian_Premier_League#Preliminary).
England have one ODI in Ireland on the 3rd May and one T20I against Pakistan on the 5th May and then ODIs starting the 8th May. (https://www.cricbuzz.com/cricket-schedule/upcoming-series/international). If Butler is down for all of those England games then he may get recalled earlier. Should RR make it to the play-offs then I suppose the decision may be as to whether he would gain more experience by being in them or would England prefer him back to prepare for the World Cup. So I suppose he'll play most of the league games but nobody knows what happens if they make the play-offs. |

Cheers charlie, the reason i asked is that he's 33/1 to be top batsmen top 4 1/4 the odds and surely thats huge if he was to play the whole tournament? Don't want to lump on though incase its agreed he leaves early. He's on fire in this format

Do you think RR will be in top 4 or top 2? If not then he may not miss many games, but will play less than other players, if so then he may possibly miss three or two play-off/final games. Would you give somebody a two, three or possibly more game start? I suppose that's why the odds are so good.
