Duanne Olivier to quit South Africa after signing Kolpak deal with Yorkshire Crazy

He's only just nailed a test starting place. Don't see Steyn going on too much longer so it's not like he was in the same position as Abbott or Parnell.

Yes quite a strange decision. Also Philander is 33 so will be leaving in a year or two.

Quota is killing SA cricket. Thankfully there is at least one good black cricketer. Can't say anything about the rest.

Not sure the quota is a big part of recent decisions. The quota covers all three formats so they can fill those in meaningless T20 and ODIs if they so wish.
It's the money and the security that they crave. The SA rand is on it's arse and has been for a long time.

Just wants to retire with a test bowling average under 20 imo

A playing XI from the talent South Africa have lost to Kolpak and other factors in the last four to five years

Stiaan van Zyl
Heino Kuhn
Rilee Rossouw
Colin Ingram
Richard Levi
Wayne Parnell
David Wiese
Simon Harmer
Kyle Abbott
Marchant de Lange
Duanne Olivier

Decent team apart from Levi.

All second rate cricketers apart from Olivier and maybe Abbott.

I thought you'd be in favour of an all white RSA XI.

Ingram = white ball bossCool

Rossouw and Ingram both pretty decent batsmen imo. It was disappointing to see them not play well for SA on a consistent basis. Rossouw has a pretty decent average. he has a better avg than some of the stars in the Eng ODI team. Both players would walk into the Eng test team as top 3. But then that's probably not a compliment.
