Well that was frustratingly close.
NZ v West Indies NZ 1.01 Semi-Gubbed as high as 3.0+ Outright winner market had traded at 1,000 before today but dipped to 20 when those first two NZ wickets fell. |
By:
(Windies Outright price, just to be clear).

Pak v South Africa
Pak Runs 310 1.1 (£3k) Gubbed |
By:
1/2 decent gubbing a certainty now as Zimmers matched as low as 1.17 are now 5s
|
By:
NO a full 1.02 Gubbing of the Dutchies by Zimmers.
|
By:
Only for buttons for a lucky few though - NL 1.06 traded £1,000+
These well-matched minnow games often present the best opportunities if there's reasonable enough volume. Anyone spot how many decent crossings of evens were there? Edit: a Tie? Seriously? |

I'm furious, I detest wasting 3 hours and losing any green

epic throw

Stan v Stan
Pak 1.04 (1.05 in quantity) Semi-Gubbed @ 4.4+ |

That's possibly the most blatant cheating I've seen for a long time.
That coont should be dragged through the streets by a horse with no shoes until he can't stand. Didn't need to bowl, the over he bowled previously had gone to the cleaners and he then bowls throw downs and gets taken for 18 runs. Unilateral cheating by the captain, everybody else looked non plussed by his decisions. Shinwari had bowled 8 overs for 32 and had looked threatening. He then missed a run out on purpose in the last over and bowled another 3/4 lollipops to make sure they won. 9.4 overs - 0/73 Despicable stuff from the filthiest of hounds. |

We've missed you jucel.

Not been away.
Just realised that I need to actually watch the cricket rather than chatting on the forum and missing betting opps! |
By:
Can we keep the chit-chat to the match thread please? I want to keep this one as mainly stats.
Good to hear you're still alive though, jucel. Anyone note the lowest odds on BF for 340 Eng runs earlier? (I overslept) |
By:
Not sure if it even qualifies as a semi gubbing but a run up from 1.01 to 1.73ish is worth mentioning by Windies today. Only a few pounds at 1.02 but plenty at 1.02.
|
By:
Also missed the odds for SL 340 Runs (v Windies) - SL scored 338. Anyone note them?
SL Match Odds topped 1.5 early in the chase but dipped below 1.03 after a few wickets fell (including Gayle). With about 100 to get off the last ten overs 1.5 was breached again in the last 3 overs 1.7 was exceeded. Commies mentioned yesterday that scoring 100 off the last ten of a 50-over match is extremely rare with the ball being so old, unlike the last 10 of a T20. The odds in this and yesterday's Eng/India game suggest people transfer the T20 idea across and over-estimate the chances of a successful chase. |
By:
Only a few pounds at 1.01 I meant £17 if I remember rightly
|
By:
Yeah, I think a price level should only count if at the level of liquidity a fair number of
people at that price would have got their bets matched. Ireland (v Zim) went from sub 1.04 to 1.2, possibly 1.3 if it traded. Not even a "Quarter-Gubbing" but a reasonable traded if you got on. I'm finding it mentally hard not to write some matches off at very short odds thinking the market "knows" that it's a done deal, but we are seeing these rebounds quite often. They normally go on to win so largely end up unnoticed, but if people put them here then all the better. |

India v Bang
India 320 Runs 1.06 (£1,000+) Fully Gubbed. Odds traded at 250 before the last ball which was wided with 7 runs needed for the 320 causing the odds to dip below 20 again. Forum seems to be buggy again - this is the second time in two days I've had to re-post from memory cos the post didn't appear. Gonna have to get into the habit of copying before posting. |

Aus W v Eng W
Aus 1.02 (£582) didn't get Semi-Gubbed but there was good trading to be had. 1.08- to 1.25+ 1.10- to 1.45+ 1.08- to 1.35+ 1.07- to 1.35+ 1.03- to 1.30+ with ten runs to get and two wckets left, but they managed it. |
By:
Not bad trading considering the terrible postion England were in early on losing 4 quick wickets for not many runs.
|
By:
Eng v NZ
Eng Runs 310 1.03 Gubbed 320 1.07 Gubbed |
By:
Afg v Windies
Afg traded at 600 and 800 for a £100+ and a little at 1,000 before coming back to WI 1.01 maybe 1.02 Ire v Zim Ire 1.09 (£2000+) Semi-Gubbed at 3.0+ |
By:
Apologies for not keeping my eye on the ball for a few days. Did I miss any low odds turnarounds?
Eng v NZ Well, well, well - a Thai for the final. In any other tourney people would be crying "Fix!!" So that was a 1.01 "No" Gubbanceship to the tune of £400k |
By:
And in case anyone is interested in tennis turnovers Federer just got 1.01 Gubbed by Djokovic.
|
By:
India went as low as mayb 1.12 territory in their defeat v NZ in semi
|
By:
Yesterday Gloucestershire v Leicestershire looked a certainty to end in a draw, but a late Wicket McFlurry saw Gloucs go sub 1.08 then back to at least evens for a Semi-Gubbing. It was quite a flip-floppy last day. I think the draw was quoted at 1.10 or lower but I didn't check if it traded there. Sub 1.2 certainly, so a low-odds draw Gubbing.
|
By:
T20 Blast Durham v Northants
Durham 1.01 reached 1.5 for a decent trade (a "Quarter-Gubbing", so to speak). |
By:
|
By:
Well Essex bottomed at 1.04 and have just been as high as 1.3s so this tourney already looks like it could get a bit lively.
|
By:
Karaikudi Kaalai v Ruby Trichet
K K 1.07 flipped as far as Ruby 1.13 then back to about evens then it traded weird in the last few seconds - the Thai came in and was 1.01 YES while the match odds was still trading at KK 1.2x Vewy stwange. |
By:
T20 Blast
Derbyshire v Yorkshire Derby 1.06 traded back up to about 1.7ish |
By:
T20 Blast Hampshire v Kent
Hampshire 1.05 (£14k) Gubbed in the last over. |
By:
England v Ireland Only Test, Only Pre-Ashes Warm-Up and England are making a complete Horlicks of it!
Eng 1st innings runs. I wasn't watching closely but I'm guessing a few sub 1.10 apples were turned over here after such a crumble. Anyone see what the highest traded at 1.01 was? |
By:
Gloucs v Worcs
In the final session Worcs traded @ 1.06 for £30k traded back up to evens then back down to 1.1ish before being finally Fully Gubbed when down to the last man and only 14 runs short of the target. Jolly good game, that! |
By:
T20 Blast Gloucs v Middlesex
As Grant put it "[Gloucester] trying their hardest to lose." Gloucester 1.09 in volume traded as high as 1.6+ then down to 1.01 but ticked up to 1.3 as a few wickets fell in the last two overs. |
By:
Tamil Nadu T20
Jones TUTI Patriots v Lyca Kovai Kings Patriots 1.01 reached 3.0+ for at least a Semi-Gubbing. Early in the match Kings had been sub 1.2. |
By:
Ireland v England Only Test
Ireland traded as high as 85+ in volume then as low as 2.5 then at 50+ in volume then got close to evens again before they collapsed in a heap. Meanwhile the Draw was 30+ overnight between Day 1/2, dipped below 10 in the morning, rose to 300 to 500s, came back to the mid 100s overnight and shrank to as low as 50 odd during a spot of rain on Day 3, then shot out again. Plenty of ten-bagger situations in that game. Hope some of you made something out of them. As mentioned before I didn't note the 1st innings runs but I'm guessing everything below 120 would have been 1.01 Gubbings |
By:
This thread has drawn quite a lot of views....credit to VV in time it may surpass Crunchy Frogs masterpiece even though some gubbings have probably been missed.
|

Thanks, Your Eminence. Fine praise indeed from Cardinal Sin.
As we speak Somerset 1.08 just got Fully Gubbed but 1.02 Hampshire bounced as high as 1.7+ Draw traded from 1.02 to 1.45 in volume and even spiked to evens. |
