Similar position to mine, results wise, although I have a little more on England and a lot more on draw. Like a lot of my recent test wins, feels a bit like I should have extracted more out of it. Need the draw to re enter the equation to do so.

Well done Wood the missing link. I know he has injury concerns but add Archer to the fray and we may have something. Strongly suggest Woakes and Curran concentrate on their batting, places available at 1,2 and 3. I don't think either are going to be kwality test bowlers although Woakes is probably not that far off. Both good understudy's for Stokes and shouldn't be in the starting XL although both good players who can add something.

Sorry to hear about your loss CS. But if its any comfort I did my nuts for 800 bucks the last test. I recovered that pretty quickly with some luck but i'd rather prefer not being in a position where I have to recover that much money.
Don't you think you are betting too much these days? You're almost doing every single game in all formats. I am sure you are staking much less in the limited formats but imo doing so much can cloud your thinking.

As for this game, I knew Windies weren't to be trusted in a dead game. I layed England heavily in 1.4-1.5 range when they were batting. Then they collapsed and that's where I made most of my current 500 green. I then started backing Eng in increments up to 2.5 and then Moeen got those two wickets.
I did back draw at 42 yesterday but cashed out as I think Windies should stay second favorites because of the amount of time left in the game. Which means draw won't be coming in soon as we saw yesterday.
Oh and I did lose 160 on the runlines because I backed Eng scores from 300 to 475 worth 800 bucks in total overnight. Fortunately cashed out most of them. But there wasn't any liquidity and Butler's wicket killed my chances of cashing out further. Won't be doing that again I think.

I think it will need some rain or WI batting to see 10s. I’m a bit irked I just sold off a lot of my green at 20s trying to trade but it will almost certainly come back at some stage.

I miscalculated the England scoring rate and time left in the game. So kept backing Windies instead of the draw. No damage though and now on the draw in 20s. Does it go below 15 before Windies bat?

I'm happy to leave my draw red and ride out for the England win - as DT says, it's a dead rubber, and the side batting last, with the series won, 2 players likely not to bat, and at least five sessions to bat, will not look the same side that England are in the third innings. It happens time and time again. Third innings makes everyone feel the fourth will be the same - and at 15/1 that's a steal...

I just think WI were well managed and Captained and played to their best, had a plan, stuck to it and were rewarded by it. In contrast England played their " natural " game, " that's the way I play "! They were badly managed, Captained, did not look like they had a plan and individually and collectively they were God awful.
Eyebrows were raised when Atherton said this was a good side or similar or best. I think and I agree that the balance was more correct. The personnel may be wrong but 3 front line pace bowlers is correct and having a 4th seamer with similar kwality and effectiveness is a bonus. Curran for all his delight is not a third seamer or as good an all rounder as Stokes. He might be more than useful in the Ashes though.
Apart from the top 3, which, is about availability or rather a lack of, the conundrum is how to balance the talents of Stokes, Bstard and Butler. They are all kwality 6 or 7. I am not really sure any of them are kwality 5's. Personally and again I say Foakes should keep and bat 7. Butler and Bstard should battle for the 5 spot.

I do love to watch a Fast Bowler. The most beautiful sight in sport for me. Aggression and courage and also brain are required in the battle imho not too dissimilar to a heavyweight Title Fight or two uncompromising fronts rows locking horns.
If the Burnley Lara was Pakistani we would be lauding him with Wasim, Imran and Waquar. While not disputing how great he is I have a nagging doubt in my mind he is a Great. The greats could make it happen on any surface anywhere in the World.
Why would you not take Broad off and give Wood a go?
WI batsmen were exceptionally lucky in the last test, so I suppose this is fair enough

I think the skipper should bat where he wants but someone needs to answer England's call and he is probably the one who should do it now. That gives you Bstard, Butler, Stokes, Faokes and Moen plus 9, 10 jack. Good balance with the obvious opening problems which we will have to manage. I would bring in Roy or Hales for the summer or both. My real hope would ashley to have Hameed opening. I know I know but if he scores any runs in spring I would throw him in the deep end and get him some top level help. He does have what it takes I am convinced!
My other left field choice is to have Bell at 3 if he shows any form early summer. Wild but not as whacky as it sounds.

A good leader lays down self interest and puts the team first. Jennings ONLY played here because Root wouldn't bat 3. Madness and also cruel on Jennings to expose him to more pain.

I am ashley a fan of the Chairman of Selectors! It is just the rest of them including the management although they did well with their knowledge of Sri Lanka and that lead us to false hope because we were brilliant in SL!

Ended up with a 230 bucks win on the whole game.

Great win for the Windies though, thanks in part to great luck in the second test and poor cricket from England in tests 1 and 2.

Lol, was going to point out the disparity myself earlier but you nailed it here.
Won a bit under a grand here, not compensating for yet another over £2k football loss. In the midst of my worst run ever in football, I think. Good job I’ve been good in cricket over the same time to keep the overall losses down a bit.
