I'll be keeping in mind what happened with the Kiwi's not long ago and before them Saffers, both demolished in tests but competitive in the 1 dayers. I'll be opposing India and for once not fussed about the toss.
|

Englands problem for me is the bowling attack. In the Tests Kohli destroyed them and although Englands batting is strong I cant see them outscoring India.
England may also be a little underprepaared. They are notorious for being slow starters. |

My XI
Roy Billings Root Stokes Bairstow+ Buttler* Ali Willey Woakes Dawson Rashid |

OK England, put in that's OK.....Layed India at 1.51
|
By:
England going to have to post some huge totals in this series if they want to win
|
By:
I understand Morgan keeping out one of Bairstow or Billings, but Hales, ffs HALES.....
|
By:
Morgan has taken all this heat as well as anyone could have, quite impressed by the air of detachment that has helped him do that, good to have him back .....and he is always ready to demote himself in batting order of situation calls for that. He has no Alastair Cook in him thats for sure.

Looked out to me
|
By:
Maybe not there
|
By:
Praise to Hales for directing Roy to review!

I like Hales opening in ODI to be fair. He has a good partnership with Roy. Ironic that he is batting more like a Test opener today but unfortunately for him and fortunately for us that boat has sailed!
I would like to see Billings in this side though and for me he replaces the skipper. I haven't got a problem with Morgan. |

That was poor running from Hales
|
By:
Backed 285.5 Eng runs with 365
|
By:
what odds Ayt
|
By:
AYT will your team beat Aus or will they collapse in a heap
|
By:
Explain why it was a curse young man!
A curse for Hales maybe but he should have easily made the run and second this might be the best thing for England. |

286 at 1.83 tom

Grant has gone full bank Australia, going busto as he sleeps

Anyone who does not like Charlie Dagnell must show some respec for his desciption of Bumrah's bowling action
looks like a puppet controlled by a puppeteer or like a marionette...Kwality Mr Dagnell! |
By:
I'd take Hales in South Africa, Australia, England and NZ.
I'd take Billings in all conditions. |
By:
likewise YJB.
|
By:
Good call DStyle but we know the selectors do not think outside the box.
|
By:
Does anyone think England have a chance here?
|
By:
Ofc they do, just need to post a big total, which they're well capable of.
|
By:
I am 2.88 England with a view to cash out at the end of the innings
|
By:
Hard to see England taking wickets unless they can put India under some heavy scoreboard pressure
|
By:
Mainly laid India around 1.5 but was hoping England's price dropped a bit more than this before spinners come on. Dropped a bit with that 4.
|
By:
I am not convinced by India's batting today. A couple of early wickets will put them under pressure I think but runs on the board is the key for England. Pitch looks a belter
|
By:
Market says both that it loves India and that the pitch is an utter road: England going over a run a ball and Roy on fire; only one wicket down and yet price still 2.5. Dropped a little now. I got on the England train at 2.48 when 30/0. Of course India could chase down 350 but England fairly well placed for more even than that and even chasing 290 things can go wrong. The England attack got shredded by India A sure and it's not where England's strength lies but it's not terrible either.
|
By:
Nothing there for Jadeja
|
By:
Was going to back Eng and lay at the innings change, but not convinced the market will react to a big score
|
By:
Pitch is a road, boundaries small and outfield like a pool table. Gonna need 350 here!
|
By:
Saying that Eng have come in from 2.78 to 2 since I bet, so it is
|
By:
Grants gone a for a huge double on Aus/India
