there are periods when it's not that engaging, when you might have it on in the background while doing something else, or talking with friends when you're at the ground, but it produces passages of play far more dramatic and absorbing than anything any other sport can manage.

I find test matches easier to trade - person preference I think - T20 is too fast moving and you can get in a trading mess very very quickly. Test matches there is always time to adjust, admit you were wrong, re-think, etc

moby dick is a considered one of the great novels, but there are lengthy passages devoted to the minutiae of whales and whaling which aren't the most gripping.

my comments are cricket are of course independent of betting on it.
a healthy bet can make under 12 women's blind cricket seem interesting. |

I've gone for the lay of Auss at odds on. Following it with the loss of a wicket and a further top up as soon as Ballance gets out! Small chip on the draw too as the if the fear about England taking 20 wickets.
I think this pitch is what the bet is about from what we have seen. Too slow for spin but should be comfortable for anybody even Ballance once they have played themselves in. Will the pitch break up later on? Smith and Clarke at 3 and 4 looks dodgy to me. If they go early then Aus are in touble but the converse applies too. Too early to call but happy to be opposing Aus at present |

too slow for off spin perhaps wd. a leg spinner may have had some success, but we don't have one of those in our squad do we.

I think the pitch might be a bit slow for Rashid, first innings certainly but then he should be used for the tail and maybe as a possible trump card on the 5th day. We still have to take 20 wickets and I am not sure we can do it on Accountants pitches.
