Actually taken the 11/10 with pp...money back as a free bet if the match goes to the final over which in this match is very likely.

nz outright backers seem to be jumping ship?

When the Kiwis beat SA, and the Kiwis outright price goes from 5.6 to 2.3 as a result, that 5.6 will be one the best value world cup bets imo as not even a true reflection of the match prices !!!!!

For those who haven't seen the news, Adam Milne is out injured.

I think (and hope) that SA have been playing within themselves throughout this tournament. They haven't really shown it yet, but their overall form - to say nothing of the talent in that squad - puts them more or less on a par with Australia.
When NZ and SA played an ODI series last October, SA won the first two matches comfortably, and were set to win the third when the rain came and saved the Kiwis from a whitewash. This match tonight is not a coin flip. Even with home advantage, I couldn't have NZ shorter than 6/4. My few shillings are on ante-post at 4's, so it'll just be a watching brief tonight. If nothing else, hopefully we get to see a proper contest. We're due one. |

With NZ having the edge in the opening bowling dept & greater strength in their top 3 bats, theres a great trading opportunity at these prices whatever the end result.Iv loaded up at 2.32 & will be surprised if i cant job out around 1.7.

Home advantage for the Black Caps is massive here and the momentum is very much with them..S/A chocked against the Pakistanis and i expect they will do the same in this game.Prices for this game are around the wrong way.
|
By:
god..my spelling is awful lately..choked*
|
By:
Well its New Zealand, who have never been to a World Cup Final, against the Chokers of SA. South Africa, regularly in the past have bottled it, at this stage of the tournament. The only difference, in this game, is with NZ having not been to a World Cup Final, either, there's nothing to tell whether they might Choke, as well. At the prices New Zealand are the value bet.

I'm on NZ in the outright and normally I'd leave it at that but the one thing I can't see here is a SA train so I'm going to do the same as BARROWBOY, back NZ now and aim to give myself a green book.

I wonder whether NZ might bowl first if they win the toss. They skittled the Aussies for 151 here in Auckland earlier in the competition, and when South Africa played Pakistan here it was pretty low scoring too. Pakistan made 222 but SA only got to 202 in reply. Plus there's no-one better left in the tournament to take advantage of any help for quicks than Trent Boult.

I think AB has put a sense of belief into the saffers that they may not have had before.....he leads from the front with an attitude of "we are better than you"......that will hopefully count for a lot. I BM fails at the top, and Gups who although in form will not have any chance of reproducing anything near his last (i think he will fall cheaply this time) if the saffers bat first and set 300 i don't think NZ will reach it....Steyn is pumped, Morkel is in form and any touch of turn for Tahir who is in the spot light can turn it on.
I would rather the saffers set the score rather than chase as it will be difficult with the home crowd buzzing if setting a total....closely matched and although i am pro saffers i am only hopeful....will be very close imo. |

saffers batting first

By:
hope the kiwis roll em'
|
By:
Very surprised they have left Abbot out
|
By:
Interesting decision at toss. Forecast is ok for weather but there is moisture around. I guess SA do not want to chase?
|
By:
Dont mean to alarm anybody but the Waitakere Ranges have just dissapeared fror view behind clown. Normally means showers in 5 minutes and I'm 11km from eden park
|
By:
its offical it is PISSING down in west Auckland. Rain coming from west towards city
|
By:
Snowing in the CBD now
|
By:
If you don t want accurate weather its cool. 20 minutes of light rain after an initial downpour. Still cant see the ranges. Weather comes from West so if its snowing in CBD then eden park should be ok
|
By:
Wind is from the North East though so it may be that these showers pass the city by?
|
By:
Looked out rear window and seems showers heading south of city at moment. should be ok.

GAME ON
