I expect a result and England obviously favorite.
As for Cook, I think he is out of his depth and not bright enough to understand he is. |
By:
SL has shortened and Eng lengthened quite a bit.
Any news? |

I'm just south of Leeds. Its a win the toss and bowl sort of day!
|

The Lankans won't cope with this. Its too alien to them. (Witness their performance at Manchester in the ODI)
|

walk the dog price. Back England and collect in 4/5 days time.
|
By:
Broad well miffed now !
|
By:
That dog might indeed make some alien sounds as he gets off the leash.
Broad looking cumbersome....... |
By:

Can Sri get to lunch just 2 down?........
Might be good for batting there after |

Took a speculative lay of England and a cheeky back of SL.
Too early in the match to be odds on but I guess tomorrow and Sunday will be the best days to bat. If these two stay in then I we shall see a shift in prices. If England can get through these two the others are vunerable but should they do well the others will likely bat well. Chandimal is a fine batsman and we have already seen Matthews is too. All to play for. I just pray Cook doesn't start crying in front of camera's as that is a nasty Australian trait we do not want to copy in this fine country |

Luis Suárez was shedding tears this morning

the sooner buttler gets in this team the better
|
By:
"Buttler isn't ready yet for Test cricket" (Cook). As opposed to...?
|
By:
Nailed on to get a ton now......
|
By:
Oh watana Siam!
Never been a Prior fan from the start although do admit he improved a lot during a golden period but that is over. Get Butler some lessons |
By:
I think he's tried to throw that up to celebrate and it's not in properly
|
By:
There is nothing between these 2 teams . If Sri lanka were at home they would be 1/2 shots .
So anyone backing England at odds on in a 3 horse race is certainly not following logic . They were 1.8 , now they are 2.3 approx , which is a proper reflection . Anyone who laid the 1.8 deserves a pat on the back , they may even collect . |
By:
That's twice Sangakarra has been out already !
|
By:
that's exactly what happened cardshark
jos buttler is as ready for test cricket as anyone imo |

I think mahela is the best batsman to watch and appreciate by far. Maybe some are more exciting but watching him is like watching art except I don't like art and would prefer to watch cricket
