could well have been a life changing match for wiese today.
can easily see him being picked up by an IPL side off the back of this performance today. wtf van jaarsveld was doing bowling de villiers at the end however is beyond me though. he'd been crap all innings, showing no idea of where to bowl and dropped a catch. really really poor decision backed up by poor bowling decisions during the opening power play. why the fack wasn't the keeping standing up to the stumps on the last ball of the innings? in all honesty, captaincy that made it so much more difficult for his side to have won. |

yeah as soon as the keeper went back the bouncer was obvious but a bad choice relying on the keeper to hit the stumps

if he told the keeper that he's bowling short so the keeper has to stand back, put a man in a silly point or short leg to collect the throw from the keeper.

They rarely get the field right in those situations.
Must have fielders close to the stumps at both ends. Your only real chance of a tie is the run out so... Still feel SS somewhat butchered that run chase after being 85-1 off 8  2 run outs and Haddin's shocker..They did well to fall over the line. |

good luck to a captain and a bowler who can hatch a plan to bowl the right ball so that the batsman is caught by the correctly placed fielder. excluding an lbw or bowled, which are pretty much field independent, you have to set a field that can affect a run out. for a young buck to make that sort of mistake is fine, but mvj is pushing 40 ffs. |

had only my second loss of the tournament but a pretty big one, nearly got saved by the tie but wasn't to be. ah well on to the final, hopefully win some of it back there
