In terms of logistics for visiting England fans, wouldn't it make more sense to have the Perth Test before Adelaide?

Having to traverse a continent to watch the 3rd Test just doesn't make sense to me.

The first series down under that I "followed" was in 94/95 and the Perth test was the last one.

Which tests did you go to cdog? I was at Perth too.
Report gillsbmc January 3, 2010 11:12 AM GMT
Yeah im hoping to be out there. Does anyone know roughly how much tickets are for all 5days of a test?
Report Max and Paddy January 3, 2010 11:23 AM GMT
In 2006, I paid:

£32.50 for five days in Brisbane (the cheapest seats)
£55 for five days in Adelaide (on the grass bank)
£110 for five days in Perth (all over the ground)

The same tickets will be more this year cos of the exchange rate.
Report gillsbmc January 3, 2010 11:27 AM GMT
Cheers Max, thats pretty reasonable. Were they relatively easy to get hold of?
Report Max and Paddy January 3, 2010 11:29 AM GMT
No! I got them all at face value, but I had to call in a few favours to get them. The racist Cricket Australia sell tickets to Aussies before the English.
Report gillsbmc January 3, 2010 12:01 PM GMT
Thanks for the warning! I may have to do the same, fortunately i have a few cricket playing aussie mates out there.
Report cdog January 3, 2010 3:53 PM GMT
No I wasnt there ramone, i was just saying it was my first series down under that I followed on the radio being interested in cricket for the first time :)
Report Max and Paddy January 3, 2010 4:01 PM GMT
I best remember that Perth Test for us dropping loads of catches, including one by Thorpe when he angrily kicked the ball through the covers and the Aussies got two or three runs!
Report Captain Wurzel January 3, 2010 5:37 PM GMT
Don't think thorpe was playing in 2006
Report smeagors January 3, 2010 5:51 PM GMT
think max is talking bout 94/5

If I'm still in the country will go to first, and hopefully second to see this new adelaide oval the government has had a bun fight over.
Was in town for the game last night in the chappel stand and had the sun in my eyes the whole first innings.
