Arthur pinpoints England vulnerability

South Africa see a vulnerability in England's batting which they believe they can continue to expose, starting in the second Test at Kingsmead.

England lost five wickets for 13 runs before holding on for a Centurion draw in the first Test - and that collapse, coupled with opener Alastair Cook's lack of recent runs, has got the home bowlers licking their lips.

South Africa coach Mickey Arthur expects England to once again select six batsmen and just four bowlers, a prospect with which he appears pretty happy as he said: "I think their middle order struggled a little bit during the first Test."

He added: "There's pressure on Cook and on (Ian) Bell.

"I wouldn't expect England to go with five batters and (wicketkeeper Matt) Prior at six, given what happened at Centurion.

"I think they'll play six. But two of those come into the Test under a bit of pressure."

Lost a lot of credibility this tour

Before the ODIs he was mouthing off playing the mind games.

After the ODI defeat before the 1st test he was very quiet, and his team performed

Before the 2nd test, he flapped his gums again

Will he learn?

Certainly glad we got Andy 'Stood up to Mugabe and won' Flower, rather than Mickey 'Sing when Im winning' Arfur in charge (and yes, I wasnt pro-AF when he took the job, but I was wrong)

Was saying that about Arfur pre the first ODI - he has been heavily outcoached so far given the resources available

Hey positively, broad wants to apologise for slow batting. Fourth street calls the situation right once again.

I was saying it about Arthur when he first opened his gob. I dont think your words carry much weight if you have been a relative nobody tbh.
